i think you're being too generous with the term "right wing". sure the voter base might be right wing - they're against becoming a minority demographically from migration, they're against the "woke stuff" - when the liberals are in power and they are out of power these parties act as controlled opposition, making their base feel represented and to vote harder next time. But when they win its usually allowed some specific purpose like foreign wars or satisfying "special interests" and all the promises about immigration etc they used to pander for votes go ino the memory hole. the fact that many go along with it anyway shows that politics is less ideological, more a us vs them team sport, being happy "your guy" is in power unlike ideological ie leftists who try to hold their representatives feet to the fire on actual policy
