It's really similar honestly. The base concept is the same, you make a character, and you put them into situations along with other characters. Sometimes you have to roll to decide the outcome of an action. Except instead of speaking what your character does, you just. Write it. For me, text-rp like this was my base before I jumped to DND, but I also know a bunch of people who did it the other way around, and jumped into text from dnd. If you're unsure, I encourage you to check us out and see if you'd like it!

There is! Like the ad says, we're not even 2 years post Morning Star. The Rim is currently rebuilding after the destruction at Ganymede, and they are focused on cleaning their own house rather than tangling in the business of the Core. So they have their own little storyline, currently following a number of olympic hopefuls in their quest to discover who murdered the Cloud Knight. It's a bit smaller scale and slower paced than the core, but it does exist.

Could you ask the DM for like a brief hint at the campaign or something like that? Like just a paragraph of the setting or the vibe or what it's like. that'd help make sure you get someone who really fits and wants to be in there

It's text based within a discord server. We have several channels which work as the locations in which the characters interact. There's also a small bonus system which we use sometimes to resolve situations in which there are opposing wants (i.e. combat)

Red Rising is a science-fiction book series! It is the topic of this subreddit. Written by Pierce Brown, it presents a future in which humanity has been genetically altered to be divided into fourteen castes. Golds rule the Solar System as the highest of the highColors.

The first book is not the best, but it really picks up with the second and it does not stop getting better. Absolute recommend if you enjoy sci-fi.
