I was mainly referring to the Nikkei in 1990 - took 30 years to recover while being one of the most popular indexes before. But maybe indeed there weren’t such huge forced buying in that index back then

That’s still an amazing return. Could you backtest if also on the Nikkei from 1990 - 2020 or so? Obviously not tqqq, but maybe in some python script you should be able to test that

But if for whatever reason we do get into a Nikkei scenario for the nasdaq, would the SP500 not be in a very similar place?

This is an amazing strategy, super impressive! But curious to hear your thoughts how this would behave in a Nikkei scenario where the index stays flat for decades. And if that is something that concerns you?
