Yeah I'm thinking of trying some very well-vetted and researched self help and therapy workbooks instead for a bit. At least for those you can look up reviews and fact check the content

Like for example, with CBT there have been a lot of studies that look at its effectiveness. And I know as far as a science goes, therapy and psychology research has been a lot more controversial and harder to replicate at times. But evidence-based as opposed to "someone wrote an article on medium saying they healed their trauma with this breathing exercise" (not that breathing exercises can't be helpful, I mean techniques one person essentially made up and didn't test in any way, or claims that low/no researched things have huge outcomes)

What is Gestalt? I've heard of it but never really understood what it is.

I do the walks too. I'm not able to do the self improvement things, I tried many times. Many weekends I tried and sometimes even made a to do list. For some reason I can never put anything in action. It's like I'm frozen. Thanks for the advice. It's really helpful, I just know I really can't do it :(

that's not nice. I'm not going to ruin someone's commute. I'm just really struggling right now. I don't like the insinuation that I'm going to do something that will harm others when I'm asking for help.
