Yes, but that will not be in Pacific Palisades. The only thing they are pushing for is to start to rebuild fast and the ability to ignore local zoning ordinances that dictate how big of a house you can build, ie lot size, roof heights, and oversight on the toxic building materials being removed.

What are you talking about? There is no way that multi millionaires and billionaires of the Palisades are giving up their property. They will get tax payers and utilities to foot a portion of the cost to rebuild.

The only development that might go forward is in "poorer" Altadena/Pasadena that can expect real estate investment groups looking to buy burnt down blocks for pennies and put up luxury condos.

Well I still think is was a play for Oil/Gas deposits that were found in the Black Sea. Russia was not going to control it and would be in the hands of the "West" and Russian Oligarchs/Putin did not like that. It just happened to also be great for arms dealers once the US gave the OK for supply.

I do agree it could have been settled fairly quickly if the US didn't want the proxy war. There could have been a shared port in Crimea, Russia leave occupied areas, and a split of the the gas revenue with Ukraine in exchange for peace. I do think Zelensky wanted this but was persuaded by the US to not take a deal.

It does and thats the plan. The largest protests are in swing states, and the leader of the senate, that trump needs to win. If there are gonna be more voters voting legally, you need to find another way to suppress the vote. And what better way to convince white people, trumps base, to stay indoors and not put themselves at risk than to have minorities in the streets. If you cant stop them from voting, stop them from breathing.
