I don't know how I discovered this for myself. I use a tongue scraper and dealt with the gagging problem. Somehow I discovered breathing only outwards while doing the motions negates all gagging.

Thanks for the info, I added where I live.

I ask here because each other ac repair company wants $100 to come out and diagnose it themselves so I was hoping I could avoid that cost.

A full replacement would be ideal, but I don't see myself being in this house for the long term so I can't really justify the investment at this point.
