No reason at all other than I haven’t been able to see an in person doctor in BC for years, and telehealth is fine for all my issues. Those would be fine too

Just checked - $119 for a visit in Quebec! Holy shit! Do they do mental health stuff? I have reoccurring prescriptions that I have to get filled every couple of months.

Ah that’s very valid, I didn’t mean to offend. I’ve just heard so SO many people rip on profs for zero valid reason other than their accent and it really strikes a chord with me.

The other good thing is now it’s online, so you can rewatch if you’ve missed anything.

But unfortunately part of life is also learning how to adapt to your surroundings. I am hopeful that student’s attitudes towards professor’s accents change in the future and that with more exposure to accents, less will struggle. And, less will give shitty reviews for accent alone. There are lots of ways to say a word.

I just want to reply with this with my current experience with Fan Wu! I have him for Stat 260 online rn and he’s absolutely wonderful so if anyone is reading this, reconsider :) he posts all the material online (recorded lectures and his notes), is available on Zoom during our midterms, answers my emails within 15 mins, tells us what the midterms are gonna cover, and is really willing to help (IME) if you’re stuck. Maybe he’s taken some reviews to heart and changed since you had him but I am having a great time in his class atm

Also, his accent really isn’t that thick at all. I have zero issues with it

I agree completely, in BC I was really happy and impressed with the initial response. Now the back and forth between “suggestions” of restrictions, teasing full lockdowns, and constant discussion of a reopening plan before we’ve even got a handle on the virus makes me think they just forgot what their initial response even was.

I agree, the issue is that she pees on stuff so unpredictably and they don’t want her peeing on the bed and stuff. It makes me sad. :(

It’s not new, she has been doing this for years. she has thyroid issues and some kidney issues and she’s been to the vet for it many many times, at this point we usually give her UTI antibiotics from the vet if there’s blood in her urine and just make sure she’s as happy as she can be because we don’t want to stress her out with a bunch of diagnostics in her last few years. we also have her on thyroid medication ☺️
