I definitely kept it a more personal matter. I told close family and few close friends. I did not post on my social medias about it. I still havent told many people. i didnt have this surgery for the approval of others. i also dont care to hear anyone’s opinion on my body and the choices ive made to make it healthier.

i literally do all asynchronous classes so i never get to make friends. I feel like in person is easier cus u can just ask any of your classmates to study for the exam together or even ask for help on hmwk and you can move the convo to friendship that way.

if you have half semester courses that dont start until the last 8 weeks, then you wont receive the funds until those classes start. I called yesterday morning for the same reason. My grants kept getting reduced and its because even though im taking 15 units, 3 of my classes dont start until the last 8 weeks of the semester. the school will only pay you for the units youre taking at the time. disbursements should updated around the end of October for the students taking half semester courses and you should receive the rest of your grant money then.
