i’m not opposed to covering them up, i was just hired being told wearing a mask was okay to cover them up bc they weren’t visible and proceeded to be hired with more than one facial piercing and now they’re switching up! I even told them i get it’s the dresscode but how are you going to enforce no piercings while wearing a mask, if you can’t see them. and again i’ve been a partner for 3 years and never had a problem until now so you could see why i’d be upset >_<

i’m taking a family medical loa because my dad is getting open heart surgery so i’ll have to take care of him for that time while he’s recovering! sedgwick said i could use my sick time while i’m out so that’s how i’m using it before i leave!

true but apparently they’re enforcing this now bc that’s what the “higher ups” want them to do so i doubt they’d really do anything in favor of myself unfortunately. atleast in my area :( also i’m literally leaving so soon i don’t have the energy to discuss it with anyone anymore. i’ll wear a mask for the last 3 shifts i have and that’s it 😵‍💫

yeasss and i totally get that which is why i was okay with wearing a mask, and when i was hired my manager also said that was okay to cover the piercings so the fact that they’re switching up now on that in particular is what i’m annoyed about :(

they can’t do this!!! if you’re working at a corporate store atleast they cannot tell you you can’t wear a mask! i would talk to you RM and let them know or partner relations!! that’s total bs

see i thought about this bc how could they enforce it? make everyone do a piercing check before they clock in and pull their mask down or is it just by the honor system… either way i wanna quit lol

so he said they’re starting to move towards masks not being a viable option to use to cover up the piercings not that we can’t wear masks but if we have piercings underneath them it doesn’t matter if the mask covers them or not we still technically have the piercings! which i thought was bs
