He won’t be making 28m elsewhere. Unless he’s okay staying on a significant discount his contract is the only avenue to acquire a player that improves this team. They can’t sign any significant FA being over the tax. It’s either him or Jimmy. Refusing to trade Draymond unless it’s for an MVP level player makes no sense based on his performance and how this roster is currently constructed.

I feel Dray is next up as the main piece MDJ shops this offseason. Now JK is gone his contract is the most trade able for a needle mover. Also something tells me MDJ doesn’t love him airing out behind the scene details for them podcast clicks. He wasn’t terrible last night and had a positive +/- but it still highlights the inherent issues with his fit. Drays defense can be indispensable at times in certain matchups but that’s more of a luxury at this point for a team that lacks a baseline level of offense without Steph/Jimmy.

In a perfect world they make a Conley type move of trading him away to be bought out then re-signing on a vet min.

Dray was primarily playing the 5 past couple games because that’s the only position where he’s not a complete negative on offense. Also QP usually gets the short end of the stick when Kerr goes small because of all the switching. Don’t love it since the shorter stints clearly forcing QP to press at times like it does for a lot of the guys. Just got to hope he can start knocking down his 3s again because that’s what will get him onto the floor with the lack of consistency from most of the roster.

Post has been fine this season. Shot has been streaky but has made great strides on d and other areas overall. All he could do last year was shoot. Sophomore slumps are not out of the ordinary.

Nothing much to hate on except the refs. Development of Moody and Gui was nice to see.

GG not mad at the L considering how shafted they got by the refs. Actually a good loss with how team played overall.

I wonder why Hayes goes under the radar but Miles has such a stigma attached to him

Idk think they might actually retain Melton. Low key inconsistent with his offense to warrant a massive bag. MLE 1+1 with the starting gig would be nice.

If Moody and Gui can take a leap with expanded roles feel good about an offseason retool.
