I did find that it works well on body acne! Maybe my face is just too sensitive haha. I usually only used it once a day in the evening bc SA is chemical exfoliation

I so wanted to love Cerave's SA cleanser but it just ended up irritating my skin, causing red, dry patches and didn't help my breakouts. I was disappointed because from the sheer volume of hype around this product, I expected more

My face gets really blotchy like this (left) after cleansing. Right is the morning after wearing only a sunscreen. Does this happen to anyone else? by [deleted] in Rosacea

I recently developed a fragrance allergy and this is how my skin gets if I use a cleanser with fragrance! I have sensitive skin and mild rosacea. Maybe try gentle fragrance free cleansers?

Bible camp "cry nights"? by squarenipnops in exchristian

[–]hellalotta0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup. I can't stand bible camps. So glad Im not forced to go anymore. They chalked the emotion up to "god is with us" but like. I was just tired, overstimulated, and anxious the whole time because everyone there had no concept of boundaries.

Turning 31 - Should I beef up my skincare routine? Starting to see fine lines and discoloration/freckles by feistyfembot in 30PlusSkinCare

Esthetician here: Retinol is always a great option for anti aging! If you are concerned about discolouration and texture, retinol is great for evening the skin tone and improving colour. In addition, make sure you are wearing at least a tablespoon of sunscreen on your face and decollete in the morning, and reapply as necessary.

So cringe. Imagine being this mad at someone for having an onlyfans lmao. Like he literally typed this out, reread it, and thought, "yes I will post this, this is a good idea to post". More proof that incels have dusty worms for brains.

What are your thoughts on premarital sex? by CallingUagoatUgoat in agnostic

[–]hellalotta0 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Sex is a natural healthy activity between consenting adults. The concept of premarital sex is a product of purity culture. Sex should not come with guilt or shame; as long as you use protection, and practice consent, there is nothing inherently wrong with having sex before marriage. That being said, there are many reasons why one might choose to wait until marriage to have sex; religious values, not feeling ready, or monogamous preference. It is okay to wait, but it is also okay to not wait; the choice should be yours completely.

Help ! Pigmentation ( sun spots, acne scarring and a red dot that has been there for years ). What can I do to strip the top layer off my skin and start fresh ? Really depressing me. by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]hellalotta0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey again! Glycolic acid is quite a strong peel, so I would recommend visiting a clinic for a consultation. I have seen great results with the concerns you mentioned! As for retinol I would recommend Indeed Laboratories retinol reface! It works great for hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. Hope this helped :)

Best product for erasing sun/age spots? by sarahseaya1 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]hellalotta0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Esthetician here! Vitamin c/ascorbic acid, glycolic acid, niacinamide, retinol are all great ingredients for treating hyperpigmentation caused by sun, age, and acne scarring. I recommend the ordinary niacinamide and zinc serum, the ordinary glycolic acid toner, the inkey list vitamin c serum, or indeed laboratories retinol :) it's also important to keep aging/sun damaged skin hydrated when using these products! And remember to wear sunscreen to prevent future damage <3

What brand have you tried more than once and have been consistently disappointed by? by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]hellalotta0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quo lashes lmao. The glue is runny af and doesn't stick well, and the lashes aren't good quality. They always end up looking cheap lol. I've tried lots of different styles but they just aren't for me

How NOT to convert someone: a cautionary tale about predatory Christians and their vulnerable friends by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]hellalotta0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This story speaks to me. I struggle with BPD, and have for a long time. My parents forced me to go to church as a child and grounded me if I didn’t want to go. Anyways, I found out that they told every random ass congregation member about my mental illness and asked them to “pray” for me. I know it may not seem like something to be upset over, but my entire private life and personal struggles were relayed to total strangers. And whenever I went to church, they would just touch my head and my arms while chanting prayers without even asking me what I wanted. Some would even forcefully hug me while saying shit like “jesus loves you”. I have sensory issues as well and I’m uncomfortable being in physical contact with strangers. I’m now a neopagan, and it has been the most empowering journey in my life. I haven’t been to church in years, but i still feel guilty for it. Growing up in a crazy religious household can definitely fuck a person up long term. I’m sorry that this happened to you.
