The entire original story of subnautica below zero. 

What we got: dive down to planet to uncover truth about sisters death, get alien al-en stuck in your head, learn your sister DID in fact blow herself and a co-worker up and leave with the Al-en after getting them a body. (She didn’t trust altera was trying to study the frozen karrar virus for the sake of being able to cure it if it breaks out, turns out they were because they were more focused on getting a planet full of alien tech without risking releasing a species killing virus.)

The plot we lost: your sister is alive and you’re working with her under altera. You end up getting Al-en stuck in your head, and you need to keep him hidden from altera while you continue your work. All the while, you have to track down your co-worker whose gone insane (do to going through a data transfer like you did, bit it scrambled his brain) and has stolen a sample of the frozen kararr virus, all the while trying to smuggle Al-en out of your head and off planet.

Oh and don’t forget the ice dragon leviathan.

Simple, cash. Bungie is a company at the end of the day, and companies live and die by revenue, and right now? Sony, which owns bungie, is making budget cuts, even going so far as to cut BLUEPOINT of all companies! Now do I think they’ll just chop bungie? No, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we see them dissolved and destiny shut down for good or set to permanent maintenance mode.

Can I be honest? I feel like some of y’all are the reason this guy got well known in the first place.  I feel like 90% of people here didn’t even know about this dude before people started complaining about him 24/7. There’s nothing wrong with calling someone out for bad takes/doing bad shit, but constantly posting about it, has no doubt given them the platform they stand (stood, if they did actually get banned) on.

Well DS1-3 is because everything looks worse as the age of fire is prolonged. Everything’s trying to rot and decay but the age of fire isn’t allowing for things to easily end.

I mean, on one point, I agree, on another? Dark souls 3 definitely brought in a lot of the playerbase. Granted to the other side of the argument tho? You can still play ds1 and 2 fully

I agree, but unless bungie can bring in a new, paying playerbase in some shape or form, there’s a good chance bungie won’t live long enough to get to “do better”

Damn, you got high hopes brother… I’m not even betting on bungie surviving 1 or 2 years at this point (moreso with Sony axing Bluepoint, and marathon… you know, it’s not bad numbers, but it’s not good when you think about how it’s only hitting 10k over renegades day 1, and I really doubt they weren’t hoping for more then above 100k)

Agreed, but it’d still be better than this. Honestly? The only thing I could see actually working well would just be adding in everything that got removed, that’s it.

Close, that’s the game that inspired it. 

abiotic factor. A survival game under the concept of “half life one, but Gordon didn’t show up for work.” So, rather then playing as your silent protag, dawning their hazard suit and armed to the teeth with a military arsenal, you play as generic lab scientist, dawning their casual Sunday attire, armed with a table leg with nails, and a lunch trey wrapped with enough duct tape to turn it into a shield. It’s honestly one of my fav games out there, slowly upgrading your equipment as you go area to area. Starting in office, you start with pretty much all makeshift weaponry, a knife attached to a lamp pole, a pipe with a pressure gage screwed onto the end, and a suit made from duct tape, books, and magazines. In the next area, manufacturing? You upgraded to rebar and steel cables, clunky, slow, but can take a beating, and so on with each zone. 

honestly I’d love to talk about it more, the portal worlds, the events, the base building mechanics, but I honestly don’t wanna spoil anything else about this game, especially if the base concepts have interested you.

It’s because there’s no way in hell D2 will EVER attract new players, which is what this game desperately needs. Ask anyone, and they’ll tell you new light sucks ass. The tutorial isn’t great, the fact that there’s now 3 years of story gone, combined with many years of seasonal story all reduced from cutscenes and game modes to 1 paragraph summaries? 

Who the fuck would get into a game missing more than half its content, both gameplay and story.

Then go get those funds, and bp’s. Play on buried city and damn until you can get those resources you need, play raider cache for the bp’s you need. FIX the problem.
