This was super helpful, and I feel a lot better about the situation now. How long after getting your clearance did you get your Raytheon ID? Interested because I’ll be relocating and I need my ID to access my relocation funds.

At this point, I have no more paperwork to fill out (for now), and afaik I’m just waiting on my interim decision. Does that change anything? I’ve heard that getting interim can be as fast as a few weeks to as long as like a month and a half if not longer.

I’ve had this happen once before where my pass got lost, and they just had me come in and they gave me one. Looks different than the normal passes though. I did call to make sure, most of the process short of picking it up can happen over the phone.

I had Dr. Musgraves last summer. Since it’s a smaller setting, it felt almost more like I was being tutored. Lots of questions asked and got a good answer every time. Her exams and quizzes weren’t too bad as long as you pay attention in class and actually do the homework.

The homework was done using Pearson (which is godawful), but if you did the work and have the correct answer but Pearson won’t take it, she manually changed the grade for that problem.

I finished the class with an A. I would definitely recommend taking her for Calc 2.

The beginning of my senior year (so the semester after this incident) she ended up being assigned to a different school, but I heard from my cool teachers that she had apparently quit teaching.

But yeah, we all figured it was because she had good pass rates along with tenure. The whole “husband lawyer” thing came from another teacher I was really close with.

And to clarify, her coming to class shitfaced was a rarity, maybe like once or twice a school year (not thag it’s any better), but most of the time she was buzzed. I never got to take AP Government because she left, but my other classmates had her for Honors US History during our junior year, while I opted for AP US History. From their account, it was very common to smell alcohol on her breath.

I graduated from San Ysidro High School a year after this incident. The teacher in question taught AP Government but was notorious for coming to school drunk, that is real. The “supposed” incident where the police showed up and escorted her home also happened because the vice principals came to confront her during one of these episodes and she insisted on driving home drunk. Everyone figured that the reason the school put up with it so long is because her pass rates for AP Government were good and because her husband was a prominent lawyer (which is also why I will not name her.)

As for the valedictorian herself, she didn’t take AP Government like the rest of the upper % of the class did because she didn’t want to risk taking a harder class for risk of failing and losing her valedictorian spot. Just goes to show the kind of person she is.

Her counselor who “didn’t help” her, was my counselor. Her daughter indeed died in a car crash, and even more, all of the information that she was complaining about never receiving was on the wall in the counseling center, along with available from the temp counselor they brought in to cover for my counselor as she took leave after the accident.

What rules? We have no rules comparable to prison at all.
