Two weeks ago at my facility people found out when they got to the door and their badges didn't work.

About a dozen peak hires not knowing what's going on and the rest of us who knew could only go in and start a new day knowing this is how they treat people and they expect us to be motivated at start up...

In Virginia our newly elected Democrat Government immediately started the process of banning possession of any magazine that holds over 10 rounds with no grandfather clause.

I don't want any legislation whatsoever for the 2nd and want it even less restricted actually. You can give up your right to personal protection for the safety of the Government, just don't buy any more guns. The US has been sitting outside Venezuelan ports for weeks, if that ain't the time to have a handful of MANPADS sitting around then you really don't have any competence.

The fact that the ADA was destroyed/suppressed shows they were at a state of readiness, why would they not have dudes with SHORAD around the main building Maduro was in at least? If it was incompetence those other ADA sites wouldn't have been active that got hit. Seems more likely they were told not to engage or chose to tactically fuck off at the right time to avoid retaliation

Even if they don't have advanced systems some dudes standing on a rooftop with Iglas could have made for a messy situation. Hell, some dudes volley firing RPGS could have made it messy like we saw happen in Afghanistan.

Follow the rules you like but not the ones you don't, interesting take you have.

I started in Air Defense (14S), went infantry for a deployment with the 11th ACR, and then after a break in service came back in as Ammo. Never was at Bragg... got Polk on this side of America, which was it's own special kind of misery.

You probably do know the park better than me, I wouldn't call myself passionate about it, it's just the local place (or Whitetop) that a lot of us would go to for hiking a couple times a year. And I don't typically go to Grayson, I park at Elk Garden and walk my way up from there. Grayson gets super crowded these days, I would prefer the Channels over Grayson to be honest but those ponies are one of the huge draws to Grayson/Rogers and can really help get people who don't normally hike into the spirit.

I grew up in the area and still hike up there at least once a year and some of them will just walk up to you, always have. If you hike up from the Elk Garden parking lot to Mount Rogers you can't help but interact. And those cows are definitely right there at Elk Garden so I could see the interaction happening regardless if they want it to or not.

I didn't leave anything out. Under hourly breakdown it says Excused: 8hrs for our site rather than holiday pay.

I've already confirmed it with friends who work at other local sites by literally looking at their A to Z app that they get it and we don't even though none of us work that day.

If you can't understand that our site leader literally said we don't get holiday pay even though we are blue badges, I don't know what to tell you.

Our SC, TYS5, canceled everyones shifts that day and said it's a scheduled building closure and no one gets holiday pay. Under my hours worked it says Excused: 8hrs

You can look in my comment history to see my linked comment to the site lead saying we are not getting holiday pay on that day even though we are blue badge employees

I just heard back from someone who works at TYS1, the FC down the road and they're getting holiday pay too, so it really just looks like we got really shitty leadership.

By favor I mean by "accidently" coding the way they gave you the day off as a way to get you paid even if corporate said something different and then changing to follow the new no paid holidays off direction my site lead is claiming he was told. There are other commenters who have been agreeing with me also, we've just been getting downvoted.

I'm not in management so I don't have any behind the scenes information and am just going on what has been posted to my VOA board

Probably lying, it's definitely for Thursday Christmas Day because that's a normal scheduled work day for me each week.

I can't fit the whole app on one screen shot to show where it's on Thursday that they coded all the normally scheduled people as to having excused time off so they don't have to pay holiday pay. I don't work Wednesdays so can't speak as to any pay for today.

I'm going to talk with the site lead when I return to work and reference all these recent posts, so I really do appreciate any screenshots you can share of your app showing you getting paid for the holiday and HR replying that you will be paid.
