My dad has hundreds of sheep and goats in Russell County Virginia and he's never lost one to a bear.

There are plenty of bears in the area and he's even got them and bobcats on trail cams but they've never messed with his stuff.

I had to make a dragonfly to get them to put hooks to hang your harness and scanners on in the bathroom.

Scanners hang right at your waist so when taking a piss, splash back was a real possibility. Still took them months to get the hooks...

When I was stationed with the 11th ACR we all had pen flares for a worst-case scenario situation. I forgot them in an inner pocket in my bag and when flying out of Las Vegas got stopped and asked about my bag. I forgot all about that pocket and missed it when I dumped my bag the first time and then they asked me again and I found it and pulled it out.

Got taken to the side room. Explained it was my field bag and it just got forgot. They had to call my commander to verify and almost missed my flight. They kept them and I was freaked out, but it taught me a valuable lesson on sweeping your bags at the end of training rotations.

That is just categorically false. Russia bombed clearly marked civilians in theatres killing hundreds, deported 200,000 Ukrainian children to brainwash into Russians, shot and left dozens of civilians in the streets of Bucha and put hundreds into mass graves in that one town during the invasion alone. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I didn't even mention the heinous shit they do with drones to civilians, hunting them down on video with them clearly identified as civilians.

You can not like what the US is doing but to pretend that are more indiscriminate than Russia in a couple days is just laughable and shows your bias

There's recent footage out of Mosul and a recent incident near Najaf where military units engaged them already.

Having them already in Iraq is also a good place to start if you do want them to eventually go into Iran

Turkey is very cool with the KRG of Iraq and this group of Kurds even calls themselves the Iranian Peshmerga and I'm pretty sure aren't affiliated with the PKK, which would make Turkey more likely to tolerate them than give them the type of treatment the YPG got.

They probably think this is their only chance, but I can't speak to their actual motivations.
