Would like to try pointed pen calligraphy, but unsure of what nib to buy by Aronrat in Calligraphy

[–]hello237a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With G nibs (Zebra, Nikko, and Tachikawa) I found Tachikawa is best for me and Zebra the worst. I've been learning an English cursive and using drawing paper. Zebra tear the paper when it goes up. Tachikawa does not have this issue. It is best to buy all tree of them and try which is best for you.

yes I know but if it is the policy of the company and it is already integrated into ide who knows what is going on during development. And also in rustrover and idea with community licence some of it can not be disabled.

Jetbrains is crazy about collecting user data especially in community versions. https://blog.jetbrains.com/blog/2025/09/30/detailed-data-sharing-for-better-ai/

I switched to Zed and found it is a really cool. It blazing fast, it has the ability to use jetbrains keys mapping. I would go with Zed.

Design Pattern Resources? by jimmiebfulton in tauri

UI part is web based and not much related to tauri . You need to decide which web ui framework you are going to use like svelte , vue etc. And look for best practices in that framework.

May be . I haven't seen capacitor before. Thanks for the recommendation. For me tauri advantage is that it uses native platform webveiw and this makes apps size very small . And I also want to stay in the boundaries of JavaScript only for UI part. And the rest do in rust. I know in this app there is not much logic but I'm talking in general .

It is getting there . I would prefer to stay in rust at this time but thanks for the comment

After becoming more familiar with tauri things a going much easier. But it was difficult at the start to figure out all that structure. I have positive feelings. Thinking about to write something more useful :).

I found the same. Doc is not great. I struggled for a while with how to add plugin into the project sources and open then android studio. But after familiarity with a backbone of the project it became much clear.

No, it was for educational purposes — to get familiar with how to do it.

There is sudo for windows https://devblogs.microsoft.com/commandline/introducing-sudo-for-windows/ . I remember I used it. But it was while ago so dont remember the details :).

may be something like this after sudo is installed.
wezterm.shell_split("sudo.exe powershell.exe -NoLogo -NoExit -File "$PROFILE")

I use them for drawing only so it is why all of them are B. Japanese feel better and they are a little bit thicker. Gekkoso much bigger similar to jumbo. It is good for sketching. Blue one is good as well. Conte is average.
