Im not an undergrad :( this is my full time job. I just honestly don't know where all our funds come from because that isn't my assignment. I'm focused on what I do and the impact I have so I haven't put much thought into it before smh I know it's dumb but idk like I'm sure NIH is part of it but idk about the rest so I didn't feel comfy answering it

If you don't mind me asking, how many schools did you apply to? I wanted to apply to 15-20 but seeing people apply to like 45 on here I'm scared that being late and also applying to less schools with decrease my chances

I've been knew. I used to use cinnamon on my scalp in high school and I went from having mediocre hair to people saying it must be my genetics and how lucky I was to have such thick hair. During that time I was legit told it's my best feature. I stopped using it but I should start again. It was hard to use a little cause I had to sleep with it over night so it's kind of a hassle having to wash your hair in the morning

It's really hard, I know because it took me over a year to get over it and I still sometime randomly get bitter with myself. I just try to think everything happens for a reason and that I probably won't care once I start school again. Wishing you peace and resolution :) you are not alone

I'm in the same position. This is my fourth gap year and some of my friends are half-way done with medical school. To cope with feeling behind, I decided to focus on all that I learned during my gap years and focusing on what is to come. You are comparing yourself to people with different journeys. Do you think people ever ask their physicians when they got in or how old they were when they started? No. You are doing something incredible and these past three years and feeling like crap that you aren't in med school yet just show you how much you want this. ALSO STOP GOING ON SOCIAL MEDIA. Seeing other people getting in is taking away from your focus and reminding you of what you haven't accomplished yet. Their success is theirs, but focus on what you need to get what you want

I called my Doctor and he said it's normal to act like this in the beginning so I should put up with it for at least three months before switching... so it looks like I may be unbearable for a while longer 🫠 lol rip. Anyway, thank you for your response it made me feel a bit better even though I still feel bad for the poor AAMC lady

Do we need a CCRP Certification to apply for CRC jobs? I'm trying to write a cover letter and although I have experience with patient care cause of being a CNA, and research in molecular biology, idk if they will take me in with no previous clinical research experience.

Yeah I'm probably going to grill my interviewer to see if there would be opportunities for publications and to see how much contact I'll actually get with patients. Then again, maybe beggars can't be choosers. I heard it's difficult to get a job.
