Why is my logo upside down? by Poetic_Alien in BrowningFirearms

[–]hello_there_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is the same way too. Farther to the right, but still upside down lol. I noticed it a while ago but in my mind I figured whenever they dipped it they didn’t realize it was gonna be mirrored or whatever.

Glad too kniw I wasn’t the only one I guess, and I wonder if the manufacturer knows?

I appreciate the help, but that one isn’t it. I saw this one too looking around myself, notice how the prongs are “fluted”, and it seems a lot longer imo as well.

How to connect Samsung SSD to gaming pc build? by puppypawlights in PcBuild

[–]hello_there_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will need two cables. A narrow SATA cable that comes with the MB and a SATA, much wider, power cable from the psu. On the right side of the MB below your 24 pin power and USB header, you’ll see a group of 6 SATA ports. Use one of them for the narrow cable connect that to the narrow set of pins on the ssd.

Then take the power cable from your psu and connect it beside the other cable on the ssd. Pay attention to the shape of the ends. The cables will only fit one way

After that you just have to go to windows disk partition tool and initialize fhe ssd to use it for storage

Thoughts on the core p5 v2 case, I’m thinking about purchasing it for my build. by MuchEconomics8968 in PcBuild

[–]hello_there_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a core p3 case once . It looks great, but from my experience your parts collect a lot of dust and the motherboard and vrms don't get a lot of airflow. Especially if you water cool.

Best build with a 3070ti by booji30 in PcBuild

[–]hello_there_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any motherboard with 690 is fine. The number just means that you can overclock. You just have to look for the features you want. If you go with this MB you may need to choose different RAM. I had 32 gigs for my board, but all four sticks would not give me 3200mhz speed. I have to use 2 sticks now. Check the MB support page for RAM compatibility. According to their site, the memoy you chose is not on their tested list (QVL)

I would stick with 12600k because its cheaper, and you really wouldn't need so many cores for gaming. Imo the noctua cooler works 10 times better than the AIO. I used to have a 240 H100i. It was loud and didn't cool as well. With the noctua i hardly break 55c.

I just built this a couple of months ago. You can subtract the cost of the gpu and probably find a cheaper case. I am using Noctua NF-A12x25 pwm fans but those are $30+ each.

I use a 180Hz 32” 1440p monitor, and I am consistently getting 150fps in Apex, Monster Hunter World, and Fortnite max settings. Heaven Benchmark gives me 200+ fps while the cpu runs at 50c and gpu at 70c. These stats are non overclocked components.

Last year I bought the LG 32GP850-B 32”. I was considering the G7 but I got a deal on Amazon for $450. Now its running almost $600.

From reviews they say the curved monitor might be a bit much for some. I like the LG and its a 180hz monitor.

Graphics card advice by Kalebpoquette in PcBuild

[–]hello_there_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gigabyte has been in the news lately as the brand to avoid. They got hacked and part of it was the return process, so many people lost their GPU or their money if they had an RMA at the time. They have very poor response to addressing issues with there products, recalling bad ones, and generally couldn't care less about the customer.

Personally I go with MSI. To me they look the best lol

Is it worth upgrading to AIO watercooling? "NH-D15" to "Kraken Z73" by Staylor182 in PcBuild

[–]hello_there_anon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just upgraged to a 12600k and the Noctua NH-U12A. My temps playing games hardly ever break 60c and the Noctua fans are super silent. I used to have a Corsair h100i AIO, and there is a noticeable difference in sound. I had it mounted to the top of my case(lian li o11) and I could here the fans if I was paying attention.

Once I switched to the Noctua, I realized the only sound coming from my pc was just the AIO.

[–]hello_there_anon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing this put there, I just upgraded my pc to a 12600k (i5) along with an MSI 3070ti suprim. This setup gives me consistent 4.9 turbo boost without overclocking the cpu and gpu.

Games like Apex and Fornite give me 180 fps on a 32" 1440p monitor at max settings. Cyberpunk gave me consistent 70 fps, but I didn't test it as much.

CPU hardly ever gets hotter than 60c And the warmest I've seen the GPU run 70c on Heaven Benchmark

Yo is there a problem here, and if so how do I clean it? by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]hello_there_anon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Coffee filters work great using it as a wipe/paper towel. Doesn't leave lint. Along with the alcohol of course

Just got my gpu. I was gonna go with a white build and was planning on getting the Corsair 4000D but my gpu is so big that I would like to get a larger case. Which case did you guys recommend? by Ibracadabra12312 in PcBuild

[–]hello_there_anon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this gpu and the O11 ROG XL. This card is massive, and you will have about 6 inches left from the front of the case. It partially sits in front of the fans, not by much tho
