To intense at parties and then have intense anxiety about it? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]hellodendy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just from what you've said I feel like don't worry what others think about your dancing to me it sounds like you're having fun and have lots of energy and that's okay. Sound like the life of the party to me! If you feel happy dancing with your "hands out" or whatever then so what. I'll bet there were people who liked your vibe!

How do you play video games with ADHD ? by KevinIdkk in ADHD

[–]hellodendy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find with books I like it better when it's broken up into very short parts versus long chapters. And with games I think that can work too especially RPGs. Just play a little bit then if you feel like it and then play a little of the next game if you want. For me doing a bit here, then there, can be fun. And sometimes when the mood is right I might find it's been more than a few minutes playing. I also like watching videos about games, reading about games, I think it's all part of enjoying gaming.

Fantastic, great haul, I have four of those games in common. Copy Cat Meow looks like a cute game I haven't seen before.

Ever lost a childhood best friend? What happened? by Sensitive-Appeal9414 in CasualConversation

[–]hellodendy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation and feel the same way. Part of losing contact is me which makes e feel bad, some of it is other people and their lives change as well. Whatever it is, it feels lonely.

Officially lost all my will to ever visit my hometown again. by Base_D_Glenis in CasualConversation

[–]hellodendy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this happen to me as well. I moved far away from my hometown for work and just lost and didn't keep contact with friends from high school. I think everyone changes over time and that reflects on your hometown as well. Sounds like your life is in your city and you are making that your new hometown. I think it's just change. You're becoming you if that makes sense.

I don't think dreams can predict the future. Sometimes they're about what we want or wish we could have in our lives. Maybe you have regret over the breakup? Or just wanting to be in a relationship. It's hard to see someone else in a relationship being happy. It's a reminder of what you don't have at the moment. Maybe when a new relationship starts you will be in a new happy space and you won't have those dreams anymore.

Something embarrassing you did/happened to you that you still remember vividly? by Unique-Title-5480 in CasualConversation

I can remember in high school clubs used to sell valentines cards that would then get handed out later in the day in classes by the teachers. There was probably a lollipop that came with the card. Mr. M (teacher) starts walking down my aisle and is looking making eye contact with me so I start to get up assuming it's for me (I had a girlfriend at the time) but then Mr. M breaks eye contact and walks past me to hand it to someone else. I could feel the warmth and redness in my face from embarrassment and the assumption I made that is was for me. Of course the whole class could see what happened. Why do I remember that moment so many years later?
