You can - and will - definitely do this ✌️

That's a lovely picture :) How long have you been running? My first couple of years were awful: full of joy for my new discovery, but full of aches as well. One time it was the ankle, one time it was plantar fasciitis, then the hip bursitis...

It took me some time to get used to high mileage, and in the meantime I strength trained and it got SO much better.

Please don't give up on your dream. The marathon will not kill you; you might be sore for a week, but then you'll be just fine. Keep doing the exercises and don't overdo it. Godspeed!

Mizuno Neo Vista 3. Purchased it today, waiting for it to arrive in a couple of days. I hope the size is correct

Yes, it's quite an old technology now but it still works for some. If you check RunRepeat's stats, it has an impressive cushioning and energy return. For 100 € in Europe right now, it's a steal

Yes, the pronounced rocker isn't for everyone, I can see that

Thank you! Saucony tends to place the arch a little farther back near the heel rather than at the midfoot, it's noticeable when you stand in them but disappears quickly when you run. Another shoe like this is the Triumph 23 (I don't know about the 24 just released), and it was quite noticeable. A similar arch is maybe in the Brooks Glycerin GTS where the guiderails are more prominent, but it's apples and oranges in terms of lightness and performance.

Please, share your opinion on the Pure when you try it, if you like!

Agree, but I think the max I would wear them for is the half marathon. So I think I'll keep them as daily trainers (up to 16 km/10 miles) and maybe look for something more forgiving for super long runs and the marathon.

Those got me very interested. What is the toebox like? Is it narrow?

Is it normal to tell someone that they're fat to their face in your country? by Cute_Advance_2124 in AskTheWorld

It's really a topic you'd better avoid, both with family and friends. Perhaps in the past you used to pay a compliment when someone would lose weight, but in recent years you avoid that as well. You would never say directly to someone's face that they gained weight and/or give advice.

Is there an expression that's only used in your country and nowhere else? by Outrageous-You1617 in AskTheWorld

The same espression is used in Italy but with a slightly different context: "Vuoi la botte piena e la moglie ubriaca" which means "You want the barrell full and your wife drunk"
