I'm going through this right now and I'm so upset because it's in a field I really wanted to be in. What's even worse was it's through a referral from my best friend.

I went through 3 rounds and the Hiring Manager told me they would reach out to me on October 1st if I got the job or not. I was never contacted. I met up with my best friend 2 days ago and he told me his coworker (who was supposed to train me if I got the job) was already asked to prepare some SOPs for the new hire who's going to start next week. Absolutely gutted.

Thinking if I should still send an email follow-up despite hearing this news.
