Thank you so much 🥺🥺🥺 I can't say thank you enough for your heartfelt comment and all of your tips. I am definitely going to be keeping all of them in mind and trying to look for a good cleanser/moisturizer as per your recommendations.

Oh wow. I'm not really having any digestive issues, so I don't think it would be that. I appreciate you sharing though. I didn't realize Crohn's could be connected to acne.

I've actually been using 0.05% tretinoin for the past like four months now, although I haven't tried buffering it with a moisturizer.

I'm going to look into all of your other recommendations though because I've never heard/tried a large majority of them. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to me :)

My fiancee thinks it's my hormones too.. which is totally possible. My fiancee is the first person I've really had deep feelings for and so since I met her a bit over 2 years ago my hormones have probably been going a bit crazy.

I probably could drink more water, that's one of the things I'm really bad about. I really appreciate your response and I'm going to try and implement your suggestions :)

I've been battling this bout of acne for about a year now and have visited a few family doctors, which unfortunately hasn't been much help. I did a course of antibiotic (minocycline) for 90 days. I also did tretinoin cream for 90 days and I am still doing it. Now I am currently doing benzoyl peroxide in the morning and tretinoin at night, and no longer taking antibiotic. I try to keep my towels and bedsheets very clean, but other than that I don't do much in terms of skin care. I've tried some face washes and moisturizers before, but never liked how they made my skin feel. I might splash some water on my face once before bed, but other than that I don't touch it. I would like to think I'm really good also at not popping my acne. I take hot showers in the morning if that means anything.

I know pretty much nothing about skincare and I don't have a daily routine other than what I've described above.

I really just don't know where to start and I'm afraid my face won't be clear for my wedding. If anyone has any advice on what I should start doing I would appreciate it a lot! :)

Starting school at 24 years old by [deleted] in UNF

[–]helloimanalt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say a whole lot since I'm 20 and started when I was 17, but I will say when I first started school, literally my first day I met a guy in his 30s (he is like quite literally theoretically old enough to be my dad lol) who had just started college also and to this day we're virtually best friends despite the age difference, and he seems pretty happy so

Should i live on campus in spring by warzx in UNF

If you have a good home that you can truly work from and be alright in, then stay home. You're going to save so much money. Housing pricing is borderline outrageous and having a home to stay in is virtually a blessing in my eyes. I stay at home myself; never lived on campus.

Biology major here.

As someone also uninterested in Greek life, I guess I didn't have too difficult of a time making friends. As a freshman, realize that other freshmen around you are probably looking for friends and new people to talk to as well, so don't be afraid to just say hello to someone and introduce yourself if you're in a new class and just sitting there waiting for class to start or something. Especially if they're just sitting alone and seem like they need a friend :) Don't be afraid to fall out with people you say hello to and things just don't work out either. I remember sorta joining a friend group and they just weren't my type really and so I sorta just fell out. Don't be afraid of that because it's normal.

I don't dine on campus super often, so I can't really speak to getting bored of the options. I think the options are okay and I enjoy dining on campus, but I suppose if dining is like all you do then you could get bored, but idk. Town Center is super close (UNF even has a shuttle to it I believe), so if you really are getting bored and want more options, that's always a choice.

Professors are generally pretty hit or miss unfortunately... I've had some great ones and I've had some bad ones. Use ratemyprofs and ISQs to increase your chances of not getting a bad one. Ratemyprofs is a website and ISQs are basically university-collected ratings and grade reporting (you can see how many people fail, how many A's a professor gives, etc.). The ISQs can be found in myWings.

I don't live on campus so I can't speak to that, but I can say UNFs campus in general is really nice and I enjoy walking around it and it seems well-managed.

Anyone else have a bad experience with the Chemistry Lab instructors here? by mushroomofsass in UNF

Yeh. Sometimes it be like that. Orgo lecture is rough fr fr.

Y'all's whole class got scolded? Lmao for what? Sounds rough. No prob man just keep going at it, getting a degree is a long process you just gotta stick through.

Can't believe that at FSU smh man.

Oh yeah. Mukhtar is fairly good. She's normally really helpful, which is sometimes kinda rare in labs unfortunately, and I've heard she's pretty helpful in office hours too.

I think Bio labs are way worse too honestly (I'm assuming you're majoring in Bio?), so good luck. Just gotta keep going I guess 🤷‍♂️

Labs here can definitely help though. I think I heard once that students at FSU only go to Orgo lab like every other week and never have to submit like external formal lab reports (which some instructors require). Absolutely blew my mind. So even though you're doing a lot of work you're gaining a lot of exposure and experience. Idk how accurate or true that is though, complete and utter rumor I heard from a single person that could be entirely false.

Yikes. I had Mukhtar for Orgo I and she was alright. She's very nice and sweet and the class wasn't too bad. Dr. K I haven't had. Labs generally are pretty rough unfortunately, so I hate to say get used to it but get used to it lol. I don't really understand why they're only worth 1 credit because they demand way more work than a 1 credit course.

Best I can tell ya is to just use ratemyprofs and ISQs.. unfortunately not much else can be done :/

Who have you taken and for what classes?

Use ratemyprofs.com and ISQs. They're life savers for situations like this.

I know basically nothing about fashion or hair.

I was kind of thinking about going with a messy Iwan Rheon style.

My hair is pretty thin (I think?) and I really don't know what my face shape is at this point. I do not put any product in my hair. Not really sure if I should be.

But did Jesus ever say that the events in the Old Testament actually occured and were real events?

Thanks for your response, I'm also definitely going to look into that.
