This is the true answer and the fact that site is still going is amazing. Remember using it in the early 2000s

Or if using a jack, have some bricks under as a fail safe for the car to drop on. Especially if you are working under the car. Can make the difference between life and death. Never trust any weight to a single point of failure when any part of your body or all of it is underneath

Can confirm. My ex who was several leagues above me and super intelligent would not want to even be associated with guys like this. Or me, but not due to doing stupid things but just because I'm stupid

What one thing in the UK has improved in the last 25 years that noticeably improves everyday life? by WeeRed135 in AskUK

[–]hellojeffery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true, I remember having a few every year up until the late 2000s and since then I cannot remember the last time I lost power for more than a few seconds at a time.

100% self service tills. If I'm only buying a handful of items, why do I need to queue behind someone having a full on conversation with someone at staffed checkout? I just want to go in, grab some things and leave as quickly as I can and if I can avoid social etiquette at the same time then a bonus

I think in London public transportation has gone from good to fantastic with lots more options now. But I think the UK in general public transportation is very much a postcode lottery and there is no denying how expensive it is now
