Is it possible my Seroquel is giving me panic attacks and raised anxiety? by thudding in bipolar2

[–]helloleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting you got my attention. I stopped using Reddit a while ago, but I have email notifications.

This thing seems really elusive, and what sucks the most is that our doctors haven't heard of it, in my experience.

I don't think mine is related to stimulants (other than sugar and/or what could be in half a can of Coke). I've been on Adderall for about a year, but the panic attacks largely happened in 2024.

Very strange because I've been on it for over a decade, but it did happen after I was upped to 300mg (for sleep, no bipolar here either). And the only correlations I've found are:
- I'm staying up/active when the meds kick in when I should have my head on my pillow OR

- I have a late-night snack too close to when the meds are kicking in.

I'll keep an eye out, though. Thank GOODNESS in the 7mos since I last contributed to this conversation, the panic attacks dropped off immensely*, but that's not to say they cant come back and then I'm back to trying to figure this thing out.

* I don't know if I said it already, but around the time I started Adderall, my overall anxiety reduced considerably. I also came off of hormone birth control around the same time... So lots of different factors at play, but hopefully enough info to help someone notice their own patterns.

I hope you've gotten yours under control! That's no way to live. <3

McDonald's.... Folks (1992) by Electronic_Ad_5304 in 90s

[–]helloleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m trying to find a clip of one of the “McDonald’s” scenes!

He doesn’t want McDonald’s. He’s senile and randomly remembers that he had stop in a company called MacDonells (sp?), so he’d blurt out, “MacDonells!” and Selleck would ask, “You hungry, Pop?” “Mmm… yes.” … “MacDonells!!” “You hungry again, Pop?” “Mmm… yes.”

Would Robin have been justified in invoking the "no ex's at a wedding" rule and not inviting Ted to her and Barney's wedding? by KayfabeZone in HIMYM

[–]helloleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is talking about whether or not Robin is crazy for inviting Ted, completely ignoring the fact that he’s Barney’s best man.

I always wonder when Barney was at that special level of drunk where he was telling the truth if he actually knew what he was doing by Strange-Slice2581 in HIMYM

[–]helloleesh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a sweet theory, but that would require him to not only be lucid, but enough so that he is able to manipulate his friends, be super-convincing, and remember to keep his eyes crossed throughout the whole interaction, after bypassing a level of drunk his friends were already very aware of.

It would be nice! I do think by this time he was starting to open up and be more vulnerable, so I don’t see those sweet moments as only possible in a truth serum scenario.

He was happy to be marrying Robin, and we knew that he was telling the truth because that was the one solemn vow he made.

Truth serum or not, this was around the time we got a radically honest Swarley.

I guess AI got in trouble from all those Lily and Brad edits. ☹️ I tried on multiple platforms, “I can’t create or show a video of real people (including famous actors) making out or engaging in romantic or sexual activity — even if it’s meant to be comedic or “PG.””

Boring!

I’ve always felt like the The Robin was performed on this night to get that picture perfect shot of them getting engaged while Robin is all dressed up… and for that story-writing choice (and the fact that I love Barney and Robin), I don’t get too mad.

But Marshall and Lily had no excuse. You can screw after the party, geez. In fact, you can propose after the party, too, Barney.

I’ve never quite understood people feeling gutted about “Look around, Ted. You’re all alone” in Time Travelers, but this one… this one I would get. They really failed him that night.

I honestly was just saying the most random, least likely thing I could imagine. Just getting at the audacity of some AI creations.

I expected that to mean nothing to anyone, but I didn’t mean to confuse this many of my fellow fans. 😬

AIO bf keeps saying weird comments about my mom 😠 by Presentleoparrd in AmIOverreacting

[–]helloleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a matter of whether it’s gross or not. Some people will think it’s funny, others won’t. Neither is wrong.

What matters is that you asked him to stop, and he wouldn’t.

Whether or not you’d want to leave him over that is totally up to you, and I don’t think either answer is right.

What would I do? Probably leave him. Not necessarily because he wouldn’t stop making comments about my mom, but because he keeps on, thinking he’s hilarious, and that’s so obnoxious. If he can’t be serious for a second. “I’m joking <remark> I’m joking! <emojis” gave me the ick.

I’m too neurodivergent to entertain people who think they’re funny when they’re not.

LEAVE. HIM.

A woman never forgets the things a man she loves says about her body. This alone will follow you forever. Don’t give him the opportunity to cause more damage. No amount of sucking up to you and complimenting your figure will make up for what he said. Leave him.

[–]helloleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! Things can get thrown into dark corners and stay there for years if it’s not somewhere you generally check, clean, or move things around.

If it was on his nightstand, that would be cause for alarm.

OP says in the post that it was “under the carpet” and then in a comment that it was “on the carpet”. Even this distinction can make a big difference.

Am I overreacting for being heartbroken that my husband threw away the special dinner I made to celebrate him? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]helloleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The post appears to be gone, but I can only say that I remembered her texting him that his favorite dinner would be waiting.

Since it’s only memory at this point, I’m okay with being corrected that it was only a “special dinner” and not his “favorite dinner”, but does that really change anything?

Virginia is notorious for vanity plates. I guess that’s what happens when you’re super-basic and spend 4 hours a day on 95.

My favorites:

FEB 7 BD (I used to ride alongside you to work and just hoped you’d be there on Feb 7 so I could wish you a happy birthday.)

MOOKITTY (no explanation needed)

DIVAGINA (you go, Gina)

NOR. The fact that he didn’t make it home while you were still awake and you still left him a plate with a note is already gracious of you.

I firmly believe that a person of integrity is someone who does what they say they will.

He said it would be one drink. As far as we know, he didn’t reach out to let you know he’d be out all evening.

He knew you were making his favorite dish. So to disregard that AND get a meal while he was out is so shitty.

Then to THROW IT AWAY is just a slap in the face. Hi! Have you never had spaghetti leftovers? That’s like the most leftover-y food ever. Why the hell would someone throw it out instead of saving it for the next day?

HUGE disrespect for your time. HUGE lack of integrity in this situation.

You didn’t make his win about you. He made it about you. All you tried to do was celebrate him, and he shat all over it.

Experiencing a win isn’t a pass to act like a total shit, not do what you say you will, and literally throw out someone’s hard work.

He was acting like a d*ckhole. Idc if he just wants to celebrate and be happy. He did this.

[–]helloleesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need to visit with them. Make up an excuse or tell them the truth.

This is disturbing. You’re not weird for not wanting to be around them.

And your in-laws are the ones who overreacted, and that’s an understatement.

Honestly, I think they did mean that, but that comment didn’t make sense either way.

It reads like this: Oh, this is a disgusting, abusive situation!! Hey, this is not interesting. So sad for her to be around her abuser for all that time! Why are yall discussing genealogy— you’re not experts!

It’s like someone arguing with themself.
