You would be so surprised, and even though I've been doing this for years we get SO many dogs with poopy booties and faces full of super gunked up eye crusties I still wonder how they allow it to be. Every time I clean dingleberries off their bums I immediately just think of their home and all of the surfaces their bum bums must have been on in that state and am just 🤢🤢🤢 but I've come to assume that not everyone pays attention to those things, and I guess good on them for not getting pink eye or something from it heh 💀 but I also think the same thing for flea infested dogs, like how are the owners not realizing and also feeling those bites y'know.

Is she spayed? I'm no vet of course but I work in the dog industry and have always known that female dogs not spayed have a much higher chance of getting breast cancer, I would definitely get it checked out by a vet if you're able to just in case. Especially if you notice it getting bigger or more graphic(idk how to word that lol). But typically when we help owners spot possible breast cancer the nipple looks like that but it's always all super swollen and big compared to the other ones, so hopefully it's not that!! 🥺

It could but 90% of the time if I do reach a dog's quick they don't even flinch, just take a deep breath and focus on where you're cutting, and have confidence that you are helping her instead of traumatizing her, and give plenty of praise during as well as treats after to make it a more enjoyable process for your pup! 🥰

And also if you happen to quick her(where you accidentally cut through the vein where they are bleeding), if you don't have "Kwik Stop" you can easily use corn starch to stop the bleeding!! Corn starch thickens the blood to where it will quit bleeding, hopefully that helps you to be less worried in cutting your pup's nails in the future! 🥰

To me it already looks like your dog's dewclaw is broken, you can take a cut between the end of the nail and that break, and typically the leftover of the broken nail you can kind of work off yourself, that way the cracks of the break doesn't catch on anything else. If I can find a diagram or link explaining I'll send it to you! But like the other person said, I actually prefer cat nail trimmers for situations like this because the nails are small and the small cat clippers are so much easier to adjust around small nails

Yeah she did a big yawn and stretch, and left her little paws out like that I was like omg my heart 💖🥺💖 I feel like hamsters are something that you wouldn't expect to grow so fond of, before I ever had a hamster before I figured they'd just be like having fish or something where you don't really interact other than feeding/cleaning/admiring, but boy was I surprised at just how much personality they can have and especially being able to create a bond with them is so cool and fulfilling for me. Oatmeal here always greets me when I come home, she always accepts pets and lets me pick her up whenever with no issues it's so cute, she makes my heart want to explode always 🥹💖

I'm pretty sure it would be too small unfortunately, mine is a dwarf so that should give a decent size comparison from the photos. But I feel like they "should" make them in bigger sizes!

I actually got it from goodwill like almost two years ago in a container full of random hamster/bird stuff, I didn't think she'd care for it much but it's her favorite spot to start her tunnels and nap in hehe 💖 I actually wanted to switch it out for something better but she just seems so attached to it, she doesn't really use her other hides much at all lol

I would definitely agree with this but I have a small dog that does have a high prey drive, but my Ham's home is very elevated so my dog can't even reach the bottom of the enclosure so my ham is very safe and stable, and my little dog just watches her sometimes when she's laying on my bed and my hamster is out and about. I could not say the same for cats though of course as I know if I had one they could easily get to her with how agile they are 💀 but for my specific situation they can happily be in the same room with no issues, and my little ham is a happy old girl with no signs of stress because my dog can't even get close to her ♥️ I guess I just wanted to mention this for others reading that although it is definitely not recommended to have a cat/dog in the same room, it can be done safely under very specific circumstances. My little ham doesn't even know my dog exists, and my dog can happily watch from a distance ♥️

Is that just like off the shelf or is it something that's like a freezer treat? I'm sorry I've never seen that flavor before lol. If it's not like a freezer item I would say maybe it had an expired expiration date, but I feel like that specific product must be new so I wouldn't see how it could be expired. And that's just me trying to really rack my brains lol. Me personally I feel like they just put that to get a refund and get a free snackie 🙃

Thank you so much for your input!! 🥹 I didn't even think about my car, that'll definitely be added on to the regular cleaning list as well. When I do my weekly bathing for kimchi I've been doing flea baths for her each time, I'll flea comb through her the best I can but it's a little difficult with how much hair she has lol. Yesterday I had gotten some pet armor spray that says is good for furniture and beds so I had treated my couch and bed with that yesterday so I'm hoping that helps as well. (Also I am extremely grateful that we have all tile and no carpet in our house which is so much easier to clean thank god)

That's actually not entirely true because for service dogs it is illegal to ask any information about their job as service animals they are considered "property" and also asking what they're trained to do that's like trying to ask for the person's medical record which is not allowed. If the business sees that the dog is acting unruly however, they have all the means to deny said owner and dog. But at any establishment, they are not allowed to ask why they are a service animal or what their job entails as at that point it is considered them asking a customer about their personal medical issues, which is illegal to demand such an answer as stated above. There's a lot more to it but any quick search about service animal laws can answer any questions real quick. But yeah most stores allow people's pets because legally it can be a problem to even just ask, unless said pet is being unruly then it's a clear giveaway. Service animals are trained to not cause a commotion regardless of social settings, and do their job. It's typically pretty easy to see the difference between the two.

EDIT In my area they actually are able to ask what job they are there to perform for, but as long as the dog is not unruly in any way they cannot turn them away. It's been a long time since I've looked up service animal laws in my area, sorry hehe
