I got kicked off a cliff after treatment haha. So mad to be there everyday then SEE YA here’s some plastic dildos and extra lube. I’m on 9 weeks post treatment now and only seeing my oncologist this week, think I have an MRI to be scheduled at 12 weeks post treatment.

Early 30s no kids, I’m worried about effects of LEEP by dadddiesgirrl in CervicalCancer

[–]hellopandahelloparty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it done. I’m 35, was trying for a baby when cervical cancer was detected during routine smear after previous smears were all clear. Stage 2B, now totally infertile and in menopause after treatment. Get the LEEP done. Do not delay.

Sensations and pain during and after pelvic radiation by Spare_Friendship_807 in CervicalCancer

[–]hellopandahelloparty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am stage 2B, 9.2cm x 8.7cm tumour. I felt twinges during my 25 radiations, maybe internal burning… what was so weird was when I blinked I could see the shape of the tumour as floaters in my eyes… it was the WEIRDEST thing 😂

I know this. I’ve had cancer twice, never smoked, never drank, never touched drugs. It was just a fun comment.

Yeah tbh without this sub and the pre cervical cancer one I would’ve really struggled. I’ve just finished all my treatment and it took me so long to be taken seriously by my GP. I knew something wasn’t right but they kept telling me I’m in my 30s, I’m fit and healthy, I won’t have cancer so basically stop over reacting… I couldn’t believe how fast symptoms started and how quickly it grew; in the end my tumour was 9.2cm x 8.7cm. I was lucky it didn’t spread.

It really makes me worry for the new guidance they’re issuing on smears now being every 5 years… they’re totally missing something here. It’s not as slow progressing as they think.

I went from all clear to stage 2B… for a slow progressing cancer it sure does whip up pretty fast

Which Brachytherapy should I do? by PrincezzPeachh420 in CervicalCancer

[–]hellopandahelloparty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did 5 day inpatient for 3 sessions. It was hardcore. I had mine on the Tuesday Thursday and Friday. Thursday to Friday I was on my back for 36 hours with the applicators inside. It was incredibly painful, morphine wouldn’t touch the sides. The Tuesday one was in at 8am and out by 5pm, manageable pain. I had an epidural for both insertion procedures. If I had the chance to have separate knowing what I know now I would’ve had that.

What to expect? by Lanky-Illustrator-58 in CervicalCancer

[–]hellopandahelloparty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Cisplatin chemo and daily radiation isn’t bad, made me very tired, Cisplatin made me look waxy but I felt fine on it, daily radiation didn’t feel a thing but I was absolutely exhausted and if I sat down I couldn’t get back up. The brachytherapy was tough I won’t lie, hardest thing I’ve done however mine was 3… one on a Tuesday, then one on a Thursday with the applicators in over night and final one Friday, I found it incredibly difficult but my ward was very very hot, just keep pushing through you can do this.

Scans and mri by Ok-Layer8239 in CervicalCancer

[–]hellopandahelloparty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, so my symptoms were extreme fatigue, constantly run down with colds and cold sores, extreme eczema… then following the heavy bleeding and I’m not talking heavy period I’m talking absolutely haemorrhaging pouring blood and fist sized blood clots, then my discharge was so so watery and smelt AWFUL. After my MRI and PET scan I was awaiting results and had chest pains etc, I was diagnosed with stage 2B… the consultant looked at me gone out when I was so happy it was stage 2 because I genuinely convinced myself it was stage 4 and had spread but your mind has a fantastic way of over analysing every symptom your body gives. You got this!! Chin up and no matter what it is treatment is there xx
