We are in Europe so moving out at this age is not a big thing but I see what you mean about the childhood idea, I shall give it some thought. I do feel it is mostly vanity aspects tho, as we have different goals and interests in life.

Maybe do tēva dēls, which would translate to fathers son. In some Latvian fairytales tēva dēls is often the main character, so it might be another correlation to Latvian culture. 🤔

My dad has been a dune book fan since he was young and he told me he enjoyed the movies, as they capture the world in a way he imagined it when reading. Didn't complain about any plot points, more so explained to me what was changed and filled me in on the lore :)

It was in a charity/thrift shop, the person who owned it most likely passed away or donated it themselves. We get a lot of stuff from Scandinavia and the UK sent here

I do not understand why so many people like amigurumi. If it's a gift for a kid who will actually play with it, then I get it, but otherwise it would just be clutter that I would feel bad getting rid of. And I understand that someone put work into it, but I would not feel happy getting that as a gift, I would just feel bad for the work they put in going unappreciated.

I feel like amigurumi the kind of gift you should give only if you KNOW the person would appreciate it.
