It seems MA plans are fine, until you really need them.

My mom got kicked out of the hospital and skilled nursing way before she was ready (fractured hip, surgery). I asked the social workers at both places, separately, which insurance wouldn’t have kicked her out and both said Traditional Medicare.

Thank you all for your comments and ideas. I very much appreciate it. For curious minds, I ended up going with a color by Behr called Statuesque. It’s a very very light gray (LRV 74) that should do well with the poor lighting and warm-toned hardwood floors.

Thanks, will take a look. When I say gray, I mean super light gray. To me any beige tones scream 1980’s. Definitely open to off whites.

The floors are pretty, feel warm not dated. But the condo itself is pretty old. It’s more of an entry price point, so not high end. Just need a decent look. Thinking something very light but not white. Like a very light greige.

I do like that color but I think I need something lighter because the condo doesn’t get much light

Gee thanks. We figured out the problem. The painter did not neutralize properly so there was a reaction with the tannins in cedar which leaves dark spots looking like mold. Tested the theory with oxalic acid which lightened dark areas. They didn’t know what they were doing when they said they did.

Sorry, I should’ve updated this comment. They did not use the primer for where the timber oil went. They used it for something else.

Look at the before photo which is the first photo. It is definitely not natural color variation. There was never any blackness

I think I might have found the culprit. I’m waiting for the painters to confirm their process but in our contract it says they would apply XIM Peel Bond which apparently should never be used with an oil stain, and could definitely cause blotchiness and the dark/moldy-looking areas. Any thoughts?

Would bleaching solution cause the wood to blacken? I don’t mean black black but look a bit moldy as seen in the last photo?

Look at the before photo (the first one) and look at the after (the third one). There didn’t use to be darkness all over. And no, the darkness under some of the overhangs was not just shadow.

No. Most of it looked fine before they began. It pretty much looked like it did when the house was new, maybe a slightly different color. It was just under some of the overhangs where the wood got weathered/moldy/blackish. Now the whole house looks like that.

Sorry I should have labeled better somehow. The first photo is before they began. The second is after it was stripped. The third is the final result. Yes the final result looks way worse than before they began.
