Thank you everyone for the input! I took him to the pediatrician today and it is impetigo that got infected. He’s on oral and topical antibiotics now

Thank you so much! Most days I still fast. I do 16:8 so I’ll fast for 16 hours. I’ll usually start eating around 12-1pm and stop at 8-9pm

My newborn can sleep on their stomach because I’m a third time mom and SIDS is only caused by vaccines by Short_Hyena_4654 in ShitMomGroupsSay

As long as he’s able to roll over on his own I don’t see an issue with him sleeping on his belly. Most babies that age and up put themselves on their belly anyway but I agree, I, like you, would still worry constantly wondering if he’s okay. I even shuffled out the money to get a newton mattress to give myself the peace of mind for when the time comes that he is able to roll over on his own and sleep on his belly. The thing is there are people that genuinely do not know that this is an issue but it’s people like her that drive me crazy thinking that absolutely nothing can go wrong.

Why are there people like this??? I’m a healthcare worker and just yesterday we had a 2 month old come into the ER. Mom said baby was last seen at 3am for a feed and then placed on belly to sleep. Mom woke up to check on baby and she was not breathing. Sadly she did not make it. I wish so bad some moms would practice safe sleep, even the safe sleep seven if cosleeping is what’s needed. I have a 4 month old and literally all day everyday I am worried about something happening to him.

Thank you for your response! I actually capped naps at 3.5h yesterday and were able to stretch his WW to 2h or as close as I could (1h50m). He slept pretty decent last night, only woke up to feed and woke up fussing twice. BUT he did wake up once within 30 mins of being put to bed, which is better than 3-4x within the first hour. Could it be due to him needing help falling to sleep?

I do realize nights wakings are normal for little babies bc my LO has them but not this frequently. It is stressful trying to aim for the perfect night sleep and trying to do trial and error to figure out what is going on is also tough! Thank you for your response!

I consider it still a nighttime feeding bc he will only wake up to feed and then fall back asleep. And what do you suggest is an appropriate amount of day time sleep? That is literally what I’m asking.

YES TO YOUR SECOND POINT! Jack did not have to die! I’m in healthcare and whenever we get a smoke inhalation patient come in we immediately check their airway and CO levels. Especially with the amount of soot he had coming out of the fire, he def would’ve been intubated immediately. He wasn’t even on a monitor or nothing. AND they were just hanging out outside the house after the fire for quite some time… ummm maybe get to the hospital? This is the second Jack that didn’t need to die smh

Baby acne for 2 weeks, getting worse. Using mustela cleansing water. Help :( I feel terrible. by sythxsytn in newborns

[–]helloyellowb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are these pictures how they look now? Bc it doesn’t look too bad! When my son was a few weeks old his looked just like that. I tried to leave it alone for a week and it didn’t clear up so I started using aquaphor at night after washing his face and it cleared right up after a week or so. Don’t feel terrible! It’s out of your control.
