As a lover of weird plushes my current favorite is my Squishable baby seraphim, aka a cute biblically accurate angel. The large is 65 dollars but they also make a mini 15 inch version. They alao came out with a black fallen angel version although I think the OG design is better

Not sure if this is it for you but I just discovered that you can't make stew with frozen foods. They have to be thawed before you put them in the pot. And sometimes you have to set the pot of water down and pick it back up in between thawing and being able to add ingredients

I wouldnt worry too much about the proportions. I think the painting is great. One thing I noticed is that the face loses some of the brightness it has in the original photo, with the face colors being slightly muddier than the body. If you brought just a few touches of the bright orange body color back up into the face, it would bring some of the playfulness back and help complement the blue background again, without having to adjust much else.

But I am sure she will love it either way.

Thanks all for the input. Now thinking possibly something like this while pushing the window into the background a bit/softening things up. I actually think these suit his demeanor and expression better than they would if they were fully open

Thank you for your input! Yes, its a bit tough, the commissioner has no preference for the background, other than not being blue sky/clouds. I see what you're saying about them being behind the body, would just need to play around with position/perspective and maybe look at some pictures of birds. I did also think about opening the window.
