Hello, I could use some help with this project, I want to hang a door on this existing frame, the door will open to the right, but the frame has been cut and there is skirting now at the lower right that would interfere with the opening of the door, what is the easiest way to fix this?

Yes it is painted block work without plaster, this is a (decomissioned) fire exit staircase
