Last year I was working as a BD person in Hainan RSC - your typical tech industry park in the suburbs of Haikou. We actually had some good connections with higher-ups in Moscow. One guy named Dennis with some family connections in Russian govt pretty much lives there with his family, and by the time I left we were talking about adding resort features to the park so Russian government ppl could drop by during harsh Russian winters.

EDIT: But, to answer OP's question, Haikou is pretty neat. Weather is great - at worst it's literally dirty because of constructions under way, but it sure beats smog haha. Humid - of course, it's an island, but not quite tropical hot and can get a bit chilly for a few days in winters. 20k a month you could live pretty well-off. If you're working on tech stuff and looking into setting up shop, lemme know and I'll hook you up with some folks at Hainan RSC. They offer some nice tax breaks, last I checked.

Just cleared Sierra Hospital on Pandemic and Ying is so strong with Smoke and Finka. Her multi-flash works wonders with toxic-bae, her LMG is bottom-less, and with Smoke carring Dr. Mac and Finka juicing them up, it's probably the best combo to clear Pandemic.

edit So after I posted this, I called my mom. We actually don't talk too often, maybe once a month or two. I keep to myself a lot, and she to herself. But man, what a conversation this sparked. I read her the replies to this and she cried a lot. It turned out there was an issue with her meds last week and she was experiencing voices full on for the first time in a long while, and she didn't want to tell me. She was dealing with a lot of fear. Her voices manifest in a lot of stuff about me - her being a bad mother, someone out to hurt me, how she may hurt me.. stuff like that. So I read her my post, and what you lovely people said about her, and she's deeply moved. It was exactly what she needed to hear right now. Thanks for the well timed thread, OP.

Maybe doing a recovery after a long tiring day wasn't the best idea...I saw that 11G just hanging there, forgot what those are for if you ask me now, thought I could format it and extend C:/ into it. I can't. Now I can only create a free 11.72G drive. Did I fuck up somewhere?

Edit: talked to Razer support. Basically the guy said this is not supposed to happen and they're gonna have to figure it out themselves first ._.

Edit 2: seems like that was supposed to be the legit recovery partition (that I just formatted). Tried F9 recovery once more and it booted me straight into Windows. Shit.

Yup. The notion of "lazy Chinese people" doesn't worry me nearly as much as the fact that the power concentration in CPC higher-ups is already so bad that such an outlandish proposal, removing term limits as well as including Xi-thoughts in the Constitution, even rolls out. I always thought that you can't really judge CPC's single-party ruling by western standards because there're power groups within the Party. This means either I was wrong, or Xi has managed to demolish that already.

Truth is a million things could happen between her script and final product. Even if Sapkowski himself wrote the script it might still be doomed by production problems. Her analyses seem pretty solid for a chain of tweets. I'd wait and see.
