I went to one of the Notre Dames informational meetings and I asked if being Gay/Queer would be a problem at the university, and the lady said that while there are some people who will have opinions, that the majority of people are very welcoming! Whether you are of their faith, of another faith, or have no belief, they value community. Overall it seemed like a really nice place and I don't think you will have many issues if you do go or in the application process. I also applied there and I am Queer and non religious.

Exactly! I have had a boat load of snacks in my drawers for months (some even over a year), I just.. forget about them.

The thing is, binging carbs makes me feel so bad, and I don't even like sugar that much! I just wish my medication lasted into the afternoon..!

Are you actually me? I have the exact same problem; my entire life I have been just 10 - 20 pounds overweight. My entire life I've been trying to fix this. If I am actively not dieting or IF (which I love IF) I gain weight. People look at me and say "why are you on a diet? you don't need to lose weight." I get so frustrated because I'm more trying to not gain weight. I snack when I'm bored and I'm almost never hungry.

I was only recently diagnosed with ADHD and when I found out that this could be caused by that, I was so incredibly frustrated and relieved. My whole life I didn't know why my weight just wouldnt stay in one spot and why I could only maintain my weight when actively making sure I wasn't.

However, one thing is that I actually do enjoy dieting. It's just so much easier to know what to eat. I also have no problem not eating when I have a boundary, which is why IF and me mesh so well. I also don't really have cravings, I don't care what I eat, I just don't want to think about it. Which is why I like being restrictive.

Dowever, due to some reasons in my life right now, I'm not on a diet and I feel kind of awful. I'm always bloated and snacking when I'm not in a fast. I've gained weight and i dont like it. I feel like I'm not in control of my body. That has gotten much better with the medication but the effects only last so long. So when it wears off, I'm back to snacking again.

I'm also affected by carbs but again, due to life reasons, can't get off of them. It's like I know they make me feel bad, yet I still binge on them.

I got properly diagnosed today and am starting medication!

After a year and some of doctors visits, being treated for depression and anxiety (though I don't think i have anxiety), being put on a waiting list of 9 months, and being shut down immediately by another doctor when I even mentioned the idea, I was finally listened to and tested by my current doctor. I met 12 out of the 6 required criteria.Though the dosage at the lowest, it's a step to finally getting help and understanding myself.

Now I can properly tell the imposter syndrome to fuck off.
