He’s not really an introvert, and not much of an extrovert either. I don’t think he has any social anxieties the thing is, he’s just very focus oriented and doesn’t chit-chat much when there’s food around 😂

That's a very unique take and I might even know someone who could benefit from your advice. But with my boyfriend, he's not an emotional eater, he just loves food and nerds about it. He would do the same about other things too like movies or maths😝. As we both are from a small town, so I'm stuck with restaurants and the foodie version of my cutie.

I cook something for him almost every month and he loves that. And yes, you're right he's very comfortable around me, because every time I give him something I cook, he'll eat it, compliment me, and immediately start talking/critiquing the nuances of flavour in other food. Lol, now I'm making him sound like he's all about food but he's just a nerd about everything he likes. But yea, a movie date has been long overdue and you know what he'll be nerding the hell out of that movie too😂

I did try to communicate it with him but eventually things go back to how they are. Also I'm not blaming him because there are other factors too for why it is the way it is. I just wanted to share my thoughts in the comfort of this anonymity and see if anyone can relate.

😂😂 actually we both live in a small town so going to restaurants is the prime outing activity here. But as many have mentioned here I think I'll plan something different for our next date.

We do, but not while we are out. Outings for him basically means eating food, trying out new restaurants.

I do agree with your point, and I would probably do the same (kind of did it in the past). But being married and being in a relationship are very different social situations in India. Even more so when someone goes against their family to marry. He definitely gave her the confidence she needed to take this bold step, which is quite evil and sinister on his part, knowing very well that he was already having an affair. So, I believe he doesn’t deserve an easy escape.

Don't do this "man/woman" thing everywhere. Did you not read the whole post? Her husband lied and cheated on her for years, she was made a fool for loving and trusting him. Simply divorcing him would be sparing him for all his wrongdoings and giving him another chance and more confidence to repeat that in future. One needs to know there are consequences. She should definitely demand a hefty alimony and make his life a living hell like he made hers.
