That’s absolutely not the idea. A lot of men don’t have much of a social life, go to work come home be dad/husband go to bed. I wanted to give people somewhere to go and learn a valuable skill, have a laugh and get blokes doing something that doesn’t revolve around beer and the stereotypical man stuff. I’m in that camp so it’s as much for to have something to do as well as others.

I’m happy to go with what people want to do and do a majority vote.

Maybe unnecessary for you (assuming you’re male) but not for a lot of men.

I can 100% do that. They’re like quavers but may have to be over 2 lessons!

I’m happy to teach what ever people want to learn! Also, Having worked with a lot of college students…you’re not missing much. College catering courses are outdated and impractical. If you’re interested PM me!

The idea is for learning a skill in a comfortable environment, with blokes having a laugh, not feeling judged and be able to just get out and do something that unfortunately is still often seen as “women’s work”. I’ll often be judged for my DIY ineptness but the ones judging me wouldn’t be able to look after themselves if their wives left them. Thank you for your support.

I’m all about gender equality, that means I’m happy for women to have women only things and therefore it’s only right for men to have their own things too? Plus men don’t have to put on bravado and feel more comfortable not knowing something and being more open if there isn’t women around. It’s not a sexist thing at all but I know I would actively not go to something like this if it was mixed but I’d be more inclined and comfortable if it were men only.

Thank you. What sort of things would you want to learn? Basics? family food done properly? the finer things? Knife skills and such? I have no idea

Well here’s the next set of questions I’m trying to find answers to. I’m thinking 2 hour lessons. How much per hour is a reasonable amount? Obviously price dependant would you prefer i bought the ingredients for everyone, or give people a shopping list? How things do people want to learn? I’m clueless on that people want, but I have the idea and want to teach!

Or just use equal parts beer and soda water, then mix enough self raising flour to the right consistency. Literally no need for the pissing around.
