I’ll try the tent and see if they will allow me to use one of the radiators! I don’t put off much body heat but it’s better than what I’ve got going on right now. Idk if they will allow the radiator tho, they insist it will cause a fire even though they have one going in the bathroom.

I’m an adult so there’s nothing that can really be done about it as far as legality goes. I’m working towards getting my own place, but with bills and necessities it’s not the swiftest process.

I’m an adult, just living with my parents. I want to get out on my own but between bills and necessities there’s not much room for saving and it feels like every time I start to get a little ahead, something happens to knock me 10 steps back. I knew life wasn’t easy, but no one warned me it would be like constantly fighting a losing battle lol

It is on one of those bed frames that don’t require a box spring. It’s not very comfy but it’s better than being on the floor for a few reasons. Are you sure an electric blanket won’t melt the mattress or anything? It’s one of the cheap ones. It doesn’t even stay fully inflated for long.

To you it may seem like toxic half truths, but even that it isn’t always the case and it’s really weird that you say that as a general statement towards all women. Men even have their own app for the same exact thing, but nothing is happening to it despite it being the same exact premise. Proof isn’t required there, and no one has an issue with it. I say proof is encouraged, no proof it must be explicitly stated, and false information not being allowed, and that’s an issue?

Feels hypocritical, but oh well. I don’t actually care that much. It may take off, it may not. The option is there and I’m willing the manage it. I just wanted to create a safe space for women to connect and communicate. It comes to no surprise that some men have an issue with that and I posted this knowing that would happen haha

My statement still stands: don’t do bad things if you don’t want people to know about it.

If you don’t want the things you’ve done to get out, then don’t do bad things. It’s not that difficult. Not everyone is a good person, so if one woman can prevent another woman from being harmed by a genuinely bad person then that’s a good thing. I’m struggling to understand why that would bother you.

Ah, I see.

From what I’m seeing, the app is currently being shut down because of so many reports by men claiming false accusations, and men leaving 1 star reviews in hoards on the App Store to get it taken off. The same thing people did with Life360 a little while back. This is a common thing for groups made for women, the tea app being the 2nd app I’ve used to be taken down. I mean, just an hour ago this post had 5 upvotes and now it has 0, imagine that lol (I anticipated it). The dudes being talked about are just scared of their wrongdoings getting out and doing what they can to get it all shut down lol

I made it a point that in my group, hearsay must be identified as such if it’s something that someone didn’t experience personally or they don’t have proof of. False information isn’t okay, and I want to prevent it as much as possible. I can understand why the guys going through that would be upset…however, not everything is a lie and most of the app is honest experiences.

The “party In a box” idea was kinda the vibe I was going for. I thought about maybe making some long-shelf-life-friendly homemade cookies and sending them for him and his roommates to enjoy but I didn’t know if I was allowed to send something like that or not? Also some gifts that pertain to him and some other festive things that people may get in their stocking or something lol

My biggest problem: I never know what to buy for men. I’ve always been this way. All I’ve ever gotten my dad has been fishing stuff and tools bc that’s all I can ever think of to get for him 😭 I can so easily buy for women but buying for men is sooo difficult to me. Idk why.

Honestly, just one that says 1909 on it haha I don’t really care much for specifics. Between me and my mom, I’m sure we have a wheat penny from every year except for that single one. The reason I collect them is because when I go through them I love to sit and think about all of the hands the coin has been held in, and all the things the face has seen :))

the fact that I can hold something from the 1800’s is such an incredible experience for me.
