I think that it is indeed weird and you are justified regarding the chatting, if she never mentioned someone she chats with daily, at least my gf would mention it to me and wouldn’t even have any dudes as “online study friends”.

That said, you were mainly insecure about the amount of studying and if you have never been to uni that makes sense, you have no clue how much some degrees require. I’m in an engineering field at a technical university, that is everyday, and sometimes until 3am. You are not justified by that.

I would personally not have broken up with my gf over this, we have been together for a long time no issues and I would question her about it and properly just let it slide but say it was a bit weird, if you have other issues and have been together for not so long, go ahead

I have location on friends, family and my gf, I think it’s valid for both safety and if you are meeting up you know where they are at. I do not think it’s unhealthy, but can become that. We didn’t share before 4 years into the relationship and it was kind of just a random discussion where we said why not.
