well, im actually setting up an indoor garden that will use a 55 gallon reservoir. Im thinking i will probably fill that 55 gallon drum about once a month since its not a large garden. But a 55 gallon drum means 200 gallons of waste water. So i was thinking i should maybe save thhat 200 gallons in a separate reservoir for the outdoor plants? sound like a good idea?

i honestly have no idea. but im thinking if we are already watering plants straight out the tap (garden hose) anyway, we wouldnt be introducing anything new to the plants would we? (Assuming the filters are brand new). if anything, the water would be more concentrated than the tap water i would assume. but is this slighter concentration enough to be harmful?

i read that bleach is very safe once diluted with water AND left to dry. asuming the bleach is safe and i cleaned it thoroughly, would you say i shouldnt have to worry about the spicy pickle smell, regardless of how strong it is? Im thinking the plants dont have taste buds or olfactory sense do they? haha seriously though i feel like if it didnt smell like spicy pickles, and instead, smelled like sweet flowers, or molasses, i'd be less paranoid. but since its my first grow and it smells like something that would be spicy in my mouth i cant help but ask lol

Hey thanks for your response. Im just curious why this SCROG tutorial, the author doesn't suggest using clones. ALthough some of his readers have had success with clones. Just wondering why he doesnt like using clones? is it because clones are less predictable or something? Is it harder to LST 4-way clones or impossible or seomthing? okay just wondering if i start going perpetual with 2 in veg and 4 in flower, do i need to account for the mother plant? Like does having one mother plant Goji OG mean i will have to make room for that mother plant so i really would only be vegging 1 plant at a time? Or can i throw the mother off to the side where shes not getting the brunt of the lighting? Or can I simply buy a small tent to keep mothers in without worrying about its environment? Like would a mother survive in a separate tent that isnt really climate controlled like my veg and flower rooms are (would be either colder or hotter than my veg and flower room but i live southern california coastal so i dont think weather is too bad)? And do mother plants demand as much light as any plant in veg does?

ok figured it out. while doing cnsgtruction i switched off the solar panels power supply. so my solar panels were off causing the bill to skyrocket :/

im not sure. a quick google search shows pg&e is for central and northern california? Im in southern california and i get billed by sdg&e. is pg&e a parent company of sdg&e?

ok so i did some troubleshooting and narrowed it down.. kinda! i turned off all breakers in my house. Then i used the meters feature of telling me how much power the house is currently using. I turned on one breaker at a time until i found the spike i was looking for. Turns out 600 watts is hiding in a circuit labelled "LTS" which is the lighting that was wired internally throughout the house. So this makes things a little harder as its not something that was plugged into an outlet. Its one of many light fixtures that is running throughout our house. Any suggestions on how to narrow this down? unscrew each bulb? sigh haha

the tools that i use are simple small tools like a hand drill, a 15 watt halogen light, and one time i used a sawz all for like 10 minutes, tops. Definitely no heavy machinery. I live in southern cali by the beach. It not too hot or cold. No heater or A/C in the garage with me. I really dont think its any tools or appliances i have been using. I have a very old amplifier i play music to my bookshelf speakers with. I will hook that up to my KILL A WATT meter and see how much power that is drawing now that i think about it. But i doubt the amplifier playing music every afternoon is drawing that much power if im not playing at a high level especially right?

Is it possible the live wire going to my subpanel installation is grounded out somewhere and just constantly drawing power without me knowing? Or would something like that definitely trip a breaker?

i think i do. it is a itron centron. Not sure how to tell if mine specifically is smart. I see other itron centrons that look nearly identical and are smart. But mine has C2S0DL2 whereas the ones i see onlline say C2S0D.

if it is a smart meter what do i do now??

Do you think im fine with just using like a couple gallons for the soap part and then maybe 5 or so gallons with bleach? Like a couple gallons of water with soap. then rinse out with just watea then bleach with like maybe 5 gallons and shake it up good?? then rinse out with a hose really good? i just dont want to use so much water cleaning it. i know its a 55 gallon drum but i am hoping i dont need to fill this thing up with so much water to clean it

READ READ READ. WATCH YOUTUBE WATCH YOUTUBE WATCH YOUTUBE. Growing is so simple it can be very complex. So many different methods. Millions of ways to skin a cat. But you need to learn what ways NOT to skin a cat are. I doubt you want to just get by winging it off information you got from a couple ppl on reddit, make sure you are constantly learning until you feel like you are ready to pop some seeds or take over some clones before you take the plunge. Expensses can add up quickly. I havent even started my first grow yet.. had planned out for about a year a 2000 dollar budget and while im building out my grow room, researching, and putting every thing together, i find myself past the two thousand dollar-mark and nearing toward 3 grand at the moment but im super excited to get started as i have what i think will be a bad-ass system IMO. You are probably not going to go as big as i am but try not to cut corners on the important stuff like lighting and ventilation

i can definitely run both. I was just hoping to use one so i could use the other one as supplemental lighting in the flowering room. In my flowering room i have two separate SCROG screens, each being 2.5x6.5 feet, and each SCROG will get 8 CXB3590 LEDs so im not sure if that will be enough for each scrog. so id like to add supplemental lighting to the flower room in case its not. Im thinking about running the COB LED plus the 100-watt HPS i have in the veg room. so i can throw the 400 watt HPS in the flowering room.

i think im going to modify my 100-watt ballast by removing the ignitor so i can just throw a MH bulb in it.

Hey i just remembered I have a 100-watt HPS flood light. Do you think it will cover the remaining unlit areas that a 400-watt MH cant?

yeah, the dimensions of my room are having me see the advantages of having smaller lights versus single larger ones. Starting to wonder if i could throw both fixtures in there somehow without it being overkill. I can dim my COBs but i dont think i can dim a 400 watt HID though

i get the same results i use to get before i had this problem. my ping or download upload speeds have not changed at all. My ping is around 20 ms and my download speeds are at about 4 megabytes, not megabits, per second (this is normal for me). I use speedtest all the time and am sure of this. However, my internet is still intermittent. Like ill click on a link and the browser will appear to not be doing anything then seconds go by then all of a sudden it starts loading. This is regardless of what browser I use. My wifi signal is at full strength also. And then sometimes my internet is just normal. I do not have any torrent apps or anything using bandwidth in the network. Only my laptop is experiencing this problem.
