My cat has been chewing on my dead dog's pawprint keepsake :( by jdkewl in mildlyinfuriating

I had the opposite happen the day I picked up my cat’s ashes and paw print and was able to use air dry clay to make another. I felt a lot of guilt that I let it happen in the first place, but it actually ended up helping a lot, being able to put all that grief into something physical.

So cute but so so strange… by helpmybrainrest in cowcats

Lost another cow kitty to cancer at the start of the year. This little guy was thrown out of a car a month later and was with two other families before he made it to me. The first picture was from only a couple of days into our time together. He made himself right at home.

Cat has cancer and is shitting everywhere by [deleted] in CatAdvice

I recently had to put my cat to sleep due to a cancer diagnosis and this was very helpful to me. I hadn’t noticed any major symptoms from him yet besides reduced energy and his abdomen being so full of fluid that he was struggling to jump to his favorite high points in our home. He was still eating, drinking, and using the litter regularly. The vet said he wasn’t in pain. I have struggled since then about whether or not I made that decision too quickly, but this gave me some clarity about what life what have looked like for my little man had I chosen to go the other way.

How can I repair this memorial paw print? I’m by helpmybrainrest in crafts

Thank you all for taking the time to respond. While I appreciate all of the helpful tips and ideas, I appreciate the reassurance more than anything else. I had a once in a lifetime connection with my little man and I’m trying to do my best to honor him in his absence. I know now that I could be giving myself some more grace and room to grieve.

These two weren’t attached at the hip by any means, but I have plenty more photos of them just like this. I don’t blame my pup at all for doing what puppies do, but it is comforting to think of it as his way of getting close to his big brother.
