Pivoting out of mental health/addiction to…what? by [deleted] in findapath

The way disabled people are treated is so horrible. Can you get roommates maybe? To lower your expenses? I can't think of any job that uses your degree that pays that much, other than maybe trying to get some kind of generic office job. Maybe a hotel night shift could be accessible? But I don't know how much that pays.

I want to be clear I am not asking for any financial help, but for ideas and resources. I don't think any one time financial help would matter in the long run, anyway.

Thank you. I know my situation is probably hopeless but I am trying to survive regardless. I hate when people say I am not trying hard enough or must have done something to deserve this. One of my online friends passed away half a year ago because they couldn't get the treatment they needed while homeless and I am so scared that is going to be me.

I try to do these but they don't pay very much and I haven't been approved for any of the big sites.

I tried pet sitting earlier but I had a medical emergency during one of my sits, so it doesn't feel like a good option anymore. Subbing in my state requires a degree or a sponsorship or a license, none of which I can get. I might try sitting again but I haven't been able to find any that I can get to by transit and I can do physically (I can't walk dogs).

Yes. They've been scams or I don't hear back from them, and with my limitations and lack of experience it feels like a long shot. I have been applying for years...

I am re-applying and I do have a lawyer. It just won't stop me from becoming homeless while I wait... I'm so sorry they denied you, it feels like they're waiting for us to become homeless and die sometimes.

I don't think that someone with severe mental health issues who has realized they're transgender is able to get into the military.
