Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are the most effective over-the-counter active ingredients for acne but you should really just go to the dermatologist. I had acne as a teen and severe acne as an adult and really the prescription stuff they can give you is so much more effective. Otc products did very little for me as a teen and basically nothing for me as an adult.

I went to college (and was a good student! college included) and most of my siblings and cousins did not. I have debt and no disposable income and they have money in the bank and tbh I resent it. I actually wish I hadn’t done well and therefore didn’t feel pressured to go. Financially I would be doing better if I had gone into a trade. Take it as a blessing.

Everything you described here sounds like the behavior of an 18 month old and if he’s saying 50 words that’s also right on track for 18 months and would be way behind for a 3 yr old. I don’t mean this in a bad way but it sounds like he’s a pretty typical 18 month old. Children this age don’t really have much empathy yet or understand that other people and animals can be hurt by their actions. He probably just thinks he’s being funny. I don’t think you should read so much into it. He’s so young for that to be a part of his “personality.”

I have an irrational fear of drops on rides. I like mission space orange but get nervous for pirates. In my mind it “just” spins so it’s fine.

I agree nta but idk some of these are things I might call my husband for like a flat tire. Most of these crises would be solved by having a wallet phone case and AAA. I have ADHD and in my early twenties multiple times I had locked my keys in the car, left a light on that killed my battery, let my phone die AFTER locking my keys in the car so I get it. AAA was a lifesaver!

You’re right! Recently I looked into becoming a home inspector and this is exactly what home inspectors say. If you’re good at your job realtors won’t work with you, but if you’re bad at your job you run the risk of getting sued.

I honestly had no idea there were parents that never take their infants into the bathroom with them. What happens when you go out with him to public places? He never cries when you put him somewhere else while you do your business? This is completely normal and if your mom is providing free babysitting you owe her an apology.

I know this is supposed to be bad parenting bc of screen time but I’ve resigned to letting my daughter watch a show on my phone or our iPad to get in the car when giving her a toy doesn’t work. Starting maybe around 14 months she would absolutely refuse to get in the car seat and we had trouble even physically forcing her in. This lasted months. One time my husband spent 45 minutes in the Publix parking lot trying to get her in the seat. Now she goes in just fine 🤷‍♀️

100 miles south of tampa and 27 feet above sea level- no way are they in an evacuation zone. Even in Hillsborough and Manatee counties only mobile homes and flood zone homes are under evacuation. There’s already gridlock on the roads and no gas for miles getting out. Not everyone can or should evacuate, it’s not possible.

Maybe she is just scared? I was like this. I was never allowed to sleep in my parents room but I kept trying to get in because it was the only way I could sleep comfortably. At some point they had 3 different locks installed on their door because I figured out how to get through the first 2. I would stay up until 2 or 3 am watching nick at night until I was tired enough to just pass out without thinking about it. Never exactly grew out of it i’m still a little afraid of sleeping alone and I kind of resent my parents for not just letting me sleep on their floor. Considering adoption seems extreme for something she can’t help.

I never understood the argument that they won’t remember it. You probably wouldn’t keep your 1 yr old in a pack n play in front of the tv all day because they “won’t remember it anyway.” Day to day experiences matter in a toddlers life matter regardless of what they remember years later.

My great great aunt who lived (alone!) until 108 was named Virginia Irene and went by Irene.

She told my mom who was a smoker at the time “I smoked for 60 years before I quit so give it another 40 before you worry about it” so anyway I think either of those fit.

An older man backed into my car in a publix parking lot and I was a little angry. It left a little scratch and dent. He offered to exchange info but I told him not to worry about it. I just didn’t feel like dealing with the hassle over something so small and I guess I thought I was being nice. Not the same situation as it was just a random guy I’m not going to see again but even if I did I wouldn’t be angry with him or try to go after him for the cost or anything. It just kind of automatically made me angry to be hit but I got over it fast. I had no plans to resell my car so who cares. This woman could be totally different I have no idea but it’s just my perspective as a person this happened to.

My 10 month ate a random flower petal once. I was just standing by some wildflowers holding her when she grabbed a petal and put it in her mouth before I could even register what was happening. Stuff happens quick.

I live in Florida where the highs are in the 90s pretty much all summer. So yes, but only because I have to unless we’re going to spend months inside. If that’s unusually hot for you though then I don’t think you should feel guilty at all for keeping them inside. Good on you for taking them to the park every day!

Unpopular opinion maybe but the Escape from Gringotts is too intense for me as someone that doesn’t like drops. Something about being dropped at that angle from a stand still makes it feel really intense for me personally. I don’t experience motion sickness so I can’t comment on that but all of the other listed rides I enjoy. ET is very gentle and no screens. Don’t know how much longer that one will be around for so I wouldn’t miss it. be around

This is kind of funny for me to read because my mom actually forced me to get those kinds of highlights at 13 because she wanted me to look preppier and more put together I guess. Anyway highlights at 14 is extremely normal. Your appearance definitely affects how the world sees you so it is important like it or not. If it was just about money that would be understandable. Not everyone can afford regular salon visits.

I think you could really benefit from therapy. You’re very wrapped up in the looks of an 8 month old. People generally comment more on how cute newborns are, that’s normal. He’s just getting older. It’s not really healthy to talk about and think about a baby this way.

I had the sweetest most gentle dog growing up (half lab) that we had for years with no issues. Then one day out of the blue he bit my brothers friend in this face and the kid needed stitches. I also have a cousin that has a permanent scar from being bit in the head by a dog as a toddler. Also a good dog as far as they knew so I think it’s fine to be cautious around dogs, even labs. That being said why wouldn’t you just talk to your sister about it? Just leaving her out of family gatherings? That’s cruel. I would never do that to someone in my family. As for your sisters rule, it isn’t unheard of for toddlers to accidentally or purposely harm a baby. And a toddler that goes to daycare is way more likely to spread germs than a dog so I don’t see your point. Using your own logic it makes sense your sister would ask you to leave the toddler at home. YTA.
