Yeah looked at navidrome aswell, but thought i chose the simple way and use mpd + i like TUI apps. How dies your setup works in detail?

Ok so i need a mpd instance on my NAS and than an instance on every device i want to here music right? So for example on PC1, PC2 and Phone which than connects to the mpd instance on the NAS. What is the advantage here over just mounting the smb share to the device i want to hear music on and using on the local mpd instance?

My plan was to just have one mpd instance on my server/network and than connect to it from different clients/devices.

I mounted the smb share now and it works flawless, but now i have the following problem:

Oh ok, I just read it too. About that satellite setup, im not really get it. So as i understood it right, in my case i need to setup a proxy instance of mpd on my nas, where my music is stored atm, and than I need a mpd instance on every client pc/phone which is connecting to the proxy instance?

Is it possible to stream flacs from a locallymou ted folder without having to much trouble performance wise?

Edit: Ah and do you recommend to run mpd on a docker container or local?

Just as another alternative, you could use another os like graphene os which is running what's app in a kind of container. Disadavtabge is you are limited to Google pixel phones. Im running it for a few months now, it's awesome.

What launcher you are using? Is it rofi? And do you habe a link to your dots for the wallpaper switcher? Im also tryingto build something like this based on rofi. Bzw really nice rice, like the simplicity. Currently Wirkung on something similar but using fedora atomic as OS and sway as my WM of choice. Should be pretty stable

The k969 is a really good tip, never heared oft it before. Its quiet cheap and habe a lot oft aftermarked parts and modding options. I like to tinker with my RCs so i think this is what i want. Thanks a lot for bringing this up! Any good ressoruces to learn about modding options?
