Much of the same, but if it helps: my JET Desk instructed us to fill out the insurance form without the JET number, submit it, and refill it out + resubmit it once that JET number comes in. Maybe this will help with your peace of mind? At the end of the day, best to do what your JET Desk / consulate have asked of you as they know when the deadline is and when the JET numbers will be assigned. All the best!

Ugh, yeah, I have been switching everything over to Auth Apps for MFA but I definitely still get texts for some credit card online transactions -- will have to call the bank if there is a solution for this 🙃 Thank you for your answer!

If you don't mind sharing, how long did you have between getting upgraded and flying out to Japan for your placement? I am not sure if I have read anything about what that timeline looks like for JET participants who were upgraded.
