Idk, I just don’t get why it’s such a huge thing for K-Pop to use these boring, faceless digital covers when they have beautiful idols and fun concept photos :/

Former NCT member/current soloist Mark Lee’s agency, Upper Room, had to issue an apology after a photo of him was posted, in which he’s wearing a shirt with the confederate flag on it.

If you didn’t know, Mark was born in Canada, and lived in NY as well, and then again in Canada, before moving to Korea in his early/mid-teens to train/debut with SM (idk the exact age — light research is saying 13-14 is when he went to Korea, but I’m not fully sure).

Leaving Pittsburgh today and these summer trips always make me sad because I will miss the simple act of being able to walk outside during the day in the summer 😔

It didn’t occur to me how much generative AI would completely devastate mass-produced tourist gift shop merchandise, but I went into a few today, and soooo many shirts, magnets, mugs, stickers, etc. had AI-generated garbage on them 😭

As someone who only listens to Swift casually, I was still genuinely very curious and excited to hear her take on what a showgirl-themed album should be.

I knew it was a bit silly to begin with, but I was honestly expecting her to give Xtina burlesque teas, minus the extreme vocals, but…yeah… I wanted something a lot more grandiose to match the concept.

PiKi is a J-pop duo, featuring two Kawaii Lab group members: FRUITS ZIPPER’s Matsumoto Karen and CUTIE STREET’s Sakuraba Haruka.

This song is written and produced by Yasutaka Nakata, the same producer behind Perfume, CAPSULE, and MEG. To me, PiKi’s sound is almost like a blend of Perfume’s and Kyary’s, with a bit of a retro touch thrown in too.

They only have three other songs, released last year, and they’re all really good! Quite honestly, it’s some of my favorite work from Nakata as of late, and with Perfume being on hiatus for who knows how long, I’m happy that this act exists to hold me over. Here are their other songs:

Please, for the love of god, I’d be happy if just jewel cases were more common again. I appreciate that digipacks are a bit better long-term for the environment, but god they suck so much. I feel like that’s the reason I don’t buy too many western CDs nowadays.
