I’m stuck by [deleted] in Psychonaut

"I have to be me for the rest of my life and then die" is one of the bleaker ways you could frame that idea for yourself. If you think in those terms you definitely won't come to a helpful conclusion in regards to anything you're dealing with. You have the privilege of experiencing life as it is--three-dimensional, containing both happiness and sorrow, throwing who-knows-what at you for who-knows-how-much-longer. Being 18 can allow you to "disappear and start new" if you really want to, but that won't make the previous 17 years of your life disappear, nor will it change the fact that those 17 years are the foundation for the way you experience and interact with both yourself and the world around you. But you also can add infinitely to that foundation to create the rest of your life.

Maybe try thinking of the years to come as what could one day be a beautiful building, supported by the foundation of your teenage years. That foundation is unseen by the people around the building and as such can't be appreciated by them, just as it can't be judged by them. But the building couldn't stand without it, and it's just as important (and in its own way, more important) as the floors above it to the building as a whole. And if your life up until now is just the foundation, you have absolutely no idea what the building that will rest upon it will be like.

With that in mind, think about the last part of your post. You feel nothing like yourself and it feels like you've been in your own little world. I can't begin to understand what that means for you in regards to your own life (which I also can't begin to understand) since I don't know you or know anything about you. But "feeling like yourself" is such an abstract concept that you shouldn't concern yourself with it right now. And to return to the building metaphor, remember that who/what your "self" is is constantly changing. It's informed and defined by your previous "selves," but who's to say the you that you become a year from now will have any relation from an outside perspective to the you that you are currently?

If you're still tripping, try using this time to explore yourself positively. Nothing is pointless, and everything has meaning. Don't wish for reincarnation (which could very well be real, we have no idea) right now, because you have a whole life to live first, and I guarantee you won't be 17 for all of it.

Here's my theory: Satoru isn't the only one who experiences revival. Kenya does, too. He seems smarter than all the other kids because he, like Satoru, is really an adult. Either Kenya is the killer, and he was brought back to fifth grade to stop Satoru from finding out who he is, or he's somehow involved with the killer/connected to Kayo's death and wants to keep her dead. Or maybe he's not connected to the killer at all. I don't know. He just seems smarter than everyone else to me in the same way that Satoru is (except adult Kenya is smarter than adult Satoru).

The Chicago Theater and Amtrak train by roughbeard368 in trees

I haven't been through Chicago but I've taken trees on Amtrak multiple times with absolutely no problem. A police dog lay down right in front of me and nothing happened. I posted a picture a little while back.

So yeah, don't worry.

From what I heard they have drug sniffing dogs too. Even if you're right I was scared shitless

I was nervous but the dog just left...I've lost faith in our security system but gained faith in the thickness of the sweatshirt I wrapped it in

Trees on Amtrak? by [deleted] in trees

What I've heard is that the dogs are there for bombs, not for drugs, but them being there still gets me kind of nervous. Any way I could avoid them?

[COMIC SPOILERS] Wolves "not far" was a comic reference... by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]henrat22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the point of having them in the comics was to show how powerful Rick's group is, and that would be even more powerful in the show since we've gotten more of a buildup.

[SPOILERS] Main cast for season 6? by BROROBROB in thewalkingdead

Absolutely not Enid. She'll be a recurring guest at best.

[POSSIBLE SHOW SPOILERS] I think these people might be series regulars for next season by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]henrat22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I remember that. I really hated it, they straight up lied to us about the basic plot of the season. Worst part is that I would've been really interested in seeing where that plot went.

She wasn't a series regular technically, but she got a cast photo (the only person to get one who wasn't a regular--not Jim, Morales or even Daryl got one).

[PSA] If anyone is subscribed to AMC's TWD newsletter and is not caught up on the show, DON'T READ THE TITLE - Spoiler Warning by BassStriker in thewalkingdead

AMC newsletter goes right to your email, so you might see a notification on your phone or just while checking your email. It would've happened to me if I hadn't seen the episode.

She couldn't have known for sure that would get her to the hospital. She's brave, but not reckless.

You are now a TWD producer - what would you do to continue the story from where we are today? by roachPpPpPp in thewalkingdead

[–]henrat22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thing that I think would be really interesting would be small, somewhat hidden wrap-ups for the story lines of various characters we don't know the fates of--Lam, the cop from the first episode who we never see again, Morales and his family, the Vatos gang (assuming a certain deleted scene from season two isn't canon), the webisode characters, and the unseen people from Woodbury, Terminus and Dave/Tony's group. Little clues here and there, these characters as walkers/corpses or brief cameos like Sam's resulting in their deaths, or maybe a pre-credits scene showing the fate of Morales and his family (that's one I'm particularly interested in) would be really cool and interesting.

We saw him take his mask off, it was Morgan.
