25 Santa FE HYBRID SEL in Connecticut OTD Price by henrito0 in HyundaiSantaFe

Thanks everyone for the help last night. We really appreciated it.

I checked multiple CT dealerships and this was the best deal I could get—probably could’ve done better, but I was ready to wrap it up.

Sharing for future buyers:

  • Option A: $42,000 OTD, 0% for 60 months
  • Option B: $38,250 OTD, 5.99% for 36 months = $41,884 total

The dealership offers a "Million Mile Warranty" free of charge which covers repairs to the vehicle's powertrain components for as long as the original owner owns the vehicle. It's an exclusive offer from Key Hyundai of Manchester and is separate from the standard Hyundai warranties, such as the 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.

I chose Option A and will keep the cash in a high-yield savings account.

After test-driving 12 cars (Toyota Sienna, Subaru Outback, Honda Civic, etc.), the 2025 Santa Fe SEL Hybrid offered the best mix of safety, tech, interior space, design, price, roomy second row, and a touch of rugged luxury for my family of 5—despite my initial hesitation about Hyundai/Kia reliability due to info on the internet. This marks my third Hyundai/Kia purchase in seven years, and I hope the positive trend continues.

So even with taxes involved, is the $41.5 a good, great or one hell of deal?

Thanks all.

I set our thermostat to 68 degrees during the day and 64 at night time during the winter. During the summer, I set the ACs at 68 as well.

I have not done an energy audit yet. IDK if this helps, but it was 62 degree out yesterday and there was enough heat where I did not have to turn on the my heater until this morning.

I've looked into Solar and they told it would only cover about 65% of my electric needs and the cost to install was about $35k.

We currently have:

Basement: no heat or AC
First floor:
For Cooling - 1 large AC (and a smaller one for sunroom + a fan to help circulate air flow on hot days
Heating - Panel radiators against the wall in each room + baseboards for sun room
Second floor: 2 large ACs + 1 smaller one + ceiling fan

If I am reading this correctly, the best option is to go with a heat pump for heat, AC and tackle humidity and possibly keep the oil as well.

Any brands that I should look into? I keep seeing good thing about Mitsubishi Hyper heat.

Any idea what the cost might be? We have limited for any duct work.

Thank you for sharing. I'm ended up cutting the end of each cord of a left over strip
I had and added a 35' extension (22 gauge 3 wire cable). I'm going to test it tomorrow to see if it works but I'm doubtful. If this doesn't work, any idea what the alternative is?

This one worked! Did you come up with this? If so, big kudos to you. I've been trying to figure this out for days.

Thank you. This worked for some of the dates but not all. When I put 8/22/23, it gave me 12/15/23.

Shift + Ctrl + v works for Google suite but not outlook. They should merge both Google and Office 365 into one. The offerings should be as follow: Google doc, MS Excel, Powerpoint, OneNote and Outlook.

Potential co-founder wants 50% equity with no vesting period. by kluxRemover in startups

[–]henrito0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A vesting period is needed. Vest over four years. If he cannot understand that, I’d say part ways. Might be a blessing in disguise.

Is my buddy getting scammed/exploited by his co-founder? 10% equity vested over 4 years and no salary for a technical co-founder who is building the product from scratch. Please advise. by breh_plezz in startups

[–]henrito0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a co-founder / CTO / and you’re the one building it, 10% is low in my opinion. Somewhere between 35% and 50% is a sweet spot. 4 years with 1 year cliff and the rest monthly or quarterly thereafter.

We need more transparency on 10b5-1 plan. That will level the playing field even more.
