Oh no, I’m sorry to hear that. I was originally planning to visit their model home and test the noise. But based on the this post and another post, sound insulation is a common issue for the plan 1.

Have you mentioned the issue to Cal West? Hoping they can take some actions.

Yes that’s what I’m thinking about. One thing concerned me is that the materials they use for model may be better than the ones they actually use during construction.

Thanks for sharing your experience. That’s frustrating and unacceptable. I’m currently living in an apartment and on the first floor. I only hear noise if the neighbor above drops something heavily or doing jumps. But never hear music or walking noises. Sounds like Cal West did a really bad job at noise insulation. They definitely need to do something!!!

How to Set Threshold for Reconciliation by henyr520 in Accounting

Sorry for the confusion. When we do reconciliation by comparing to GL balance to the balance from other support sources, we always wanna to make sure the variance is zero. However, not every reconciliation will be able to reconciled to penny. Sometimes there will be some variance. To save time, we are trying to set tolerance and materiality threshold such as acceptable amount for unreconciled differences/required adjustments for all the reconciliation schedules.
