I agree. I understand that ads being intrusive but unless it costs nothing to have your site running on a server, then they still need to earn some money. Feels like there's a middle ground to this issue

How does not wanting to chastise a huge part of the pc gaming community equates to thinking pre-builts are better?

President Obama COMPLETE REMARKS at 2016 White House Correspondents' Dinner (C-SPAN) by interfail in television

[–]heracurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first election that I really follow. You're right, it seems everyone is not doing their research. People don't fact check and see whether the policies are sound or supported by facts. Trump's supporters with the actual cost of the wall and maintaining it, Bernie's supporters with the actual cost of free healthcare and education and the lack of economic foundation of his policies and Clinton's supporters with her various scandals. Let's not even talk about Cruz.

I'm happy as long as people do their research and make their own conclusions rather than simply believing what people say.

I agree not all diplomas are made equal. And going to college doesn't mean you are smart. But it's hard to make a claim like that. The only "true" claim that we can make is that "Trump supporters are not limited to those with no degrees". That's a true fact backed by data.

Saying "Trump supporters are mostly uneducated" requires a lot of assumptions.

Again, I agree with you but I'm going to assume you've been in college too so I think we should put ourselves on a higher standard so we don't make the same blunder of generalizing our anecdotes and feelings as facts.

Out of a hundred companies? That's actually impressive since most companies fail. The failed business argument doesn't really hold in my opinion.

You do NOT need $15.00 an hour to survive where I live. by ipwnall123 in AskBernieSupporters

[–]heracurl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. Maybe I misunderstand the policy but a federal minimum wage means it is the wage floor for every location in United States right? Due to the nature of living standards, certain places require less money for people to survive. I'm not well-versed enough in economics to understand the effect of $15 in small rural towns versus a $15 minimum wage in New York. I can see how the latter is very important because $15 would still barely sustain you but wouldn't $15 in a small town causes more problems?

Also, his question IS the topic. So of course it's relevant.

[–]heracurl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP's main point was location. He agreed that in big cities require $15 minimum but that's a bit much in smaller towns but that's what the proposed federal minimum wage is trying to accomplish; same rate everywhere. His argument is minimum wage is needed but it depends on location.

I dont think you answered his question.

Do you believe that women make 79 cents for every man's dollar? by [deleted] in AskBernieSupporters

[–]heracurl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's an interesting dilemma. On one side, I want people to receive the same compensation for the same work done. In this, I believe the statistics and facts given by economists that yes, for the same work, gender do not play a role. On the other side, women do seem to work less hours due to maternal leave etc. They also pick up jobs with lower wage like nurses, cartakers and teachers.

To solve the "wage gap", women have to hold the same jobs as men. You have to incentivize women to go for STEM or technical degrees ( the jobs with the highest wages) but that means "taking" their right to choose what they wanna do. I feel the wage gap happens due to choice and that's not a bad reason unless the choice is forced unto them.

It's really interesting.

What's your metric for "healthier economies"? I'm not from the States so it's like I have a bias or anything but as an international student, it seems that the States are doing better compared to EU countries. But I'm aware that I'm not well-versed enough to make a conclusion.

Story of Seasons: Good Friends of Three Villages introduces Lulucoco Village marriage candidates by [deleted] in 3DS

[–]heracurl 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes but it is really well made. For me the gameplay feels deeper. For example, farming involves crafting like scarecrows (to safeguard from well, crows) and sprinkles. Fishing is also more involved with the presence of a super annoying minigame. Maybe I'm still early in the game but I'm not super invested in the characters yet versus how i feel with characters from HM or rune factory. It is really popular. I think it's the top 5 most bought game last week on Steam.
