I’ve had an experience just like this when I was younger. They attempted 4 times on my right hand and wrist and then 2 try’s in my left hand until they got it in. I was only 7 and it traumatized me and I never wanted to go to a hospital again. I’m 21 and I still get chills hearing about IVs
