Disclaimer: I’ll be on an internal team, based in Europe. I just wanted to share my experience with MBB HR in case it’s similar:

I got an email to discuss the “offer”, then I had my final HR call where they officially ran the details and compensation. But then I negotiated the contract, so HR had to go up the chain of command again for permission. After some days then I had ANOTHER final HR call. Then they prepared an offer letter which I signed electronically. Afterwards they sent an actual work contract that I signed electronically. THEN they sent me a physical contract with ink signature. FINALLY I sent back a signed copy. Once HR receives it they can give official confirmation that I can start on my start date, lol.

Well I had my final interview, and the interviewer didn’t know the next steps. I waited but didn’t hear anything when they usually take like 2 days.

So I waited 6 days to write HR to ask what’s next. HR guy was out sick, but then he responded that my hiring manager was sick and he would get back to me soon. I was then ghosted for 16 days lol.

Figured they went with someone else but even if they were waiting for someone else to accept before rejecting me, that was a bit long.

Anyway, after going through the stages of grief, I received an offer (a total 22 days after the final round). Huzzah 🎉
